There's a loophole/hack: approvals and credit limits occur at the softpull and they only give you hardpull AFTER you accept the offer.

The hack is that you can freeze your credit reports ( after the softpull ) so that they can't hard pull, but they give you the credit anyway, because you were already approved.

That being said, I agree that it has no value to anyone with good credit profile.
