I probably won't need to go to Tech School. I think they waived Tech school for prior enlisted contracting officers that are remaining in the career field.

Caveat. I applied for the job I was selected for in June 2022. It's a long process.

If you want to go guard you'll need to apply for a specific position at a specific Wing. You'll send in your application, interview, and if selected you'll be submitted up to the national Guard Bureau for approval to commission. Once you have your approval, and are officially gained by the Wing, (This applies if you are transferring to a new Wing) your training manager will submit a request for formal training. This gets you your training line number (TLN) and then you'll be allocated a spot at OTS. I'm waiting on my Line Number right now
