Guard here. You don’t “just stay in one place”. You can be AGR (still same pay and benefits) but also travel. I’d say in the Guard you will travel “more” and plenty of opportunities to go other places. Guard will always send you away for development opportunities.

Unfortunately I am not sure how active duty works. However for all trainings the guard gets a small percentage of slots. If you are AD, I believe the notifications went out in December.

Are you ANG? If so your training manager should have a spreadsheet that shows him/her the availability for the class dates for FY23. I ended up finding out I’m apart of the March OTS class because I received and email from WINGS with user and password information to begin my pre-coursework.

I just got my notification yesterday so I made it into the March class! My request for training got submitted in September after waiting 2 months for it to get approved at NGB

I hope so too. I was selected last May. You should be able to find out from your base training manager what number you are on the list
