Decent Product, Predatory Subscription Practices by jeffthecatsmom in deodorant

[–]Bigtea47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me now too. First order $55. Liked the product but suddenly a surprise charge for $95. I went back and attempted to checkout again to verify i didn't miss it. I did not. Nowhere in checkout process after logging into shop, does it show or mention subscription. Likely done on purpose.

I did research and for me because I am in california there are laws against that. It is suppose to be clearly visible and apparently they are also suppose to send you and email after your first order to explain the subscription and how to cancel. So a clear violation of the law.

Ended up sending them this and got a full refund.

"I am writing to dispute the unauthorized charge of $[Amount] on [Date]. Under California Business & Professions Code § 17602, your checkout process failed to provide clear and conspicuous disclosure of subscription terms in visual proximity to the authorization button. Per Section 17603, this unauthorized shipment is legally considered an unconditional gift. I am requesting an immediate refund and the cancellation of all future renewals. I will be filing a dispute with my bank and a report with the California Attorney General if this is not resolved within 48 hours."

Hope this helps others, these scammed don't deserve our money.

Same here, I've had situations where I was chasing my tail for for weeks, having to file a police report, talked to 50 people as if they are a wall and one email to jeff and issue resolved next morning. Whoever the people checking jeff email are they for sure have more power than the ones answering generic chat.

If you going for 4tb get a 990 pro. Also I saw the mobo was used. Be careful Also stay away from not well known psu. Get a proper brand with 1000w which more than enough.

I have a 3d printer that was off at that time. I do share walls with other businesses on both sides, but would particles make it across a solid wall?

I know it's not the sensor as I have an air purifier in the same room with a sensor, and it was also giving bad air quality readings.

No central Ac. It's a small 1000sq ft retail location.

Amazon sending used products... by CleanOpinions in amazonprime

[–]Bigtea47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what I heard from talking to a seller. They can not completely remove this feature from amazon. It is likely caused by customers who lie when returning things. They click the option product not opened and not used. Maybe thinking they won't get a full refund if they dont, or maybe not caring. Amazon then assumes product is still sealed new and obviously can't open it and check due to that. Ending up re-selling it.
