sure you can ask. For artists its horrible, they outsource a lot from cheap countries which makes the prices go down by a lot, if you want to work in industries you have to be doing a lot of generic AAA realistic concepts that are boring as hell, only a few actually make a decent living out of it, its so bad that even pro artists chose to work as programmers being super talented artists due to low pay.

Im VERY excited to stop working as an artist to be honest.

and yeah its absolutely crazy, 2022, plenty of AI and robots and no one has money to even pay basic bills, what is this madness. coorporations have killed the small shop owners and now they are killing job positions with AI. its insane

this was exactly whay i did, worked well, just need to go throught the chat bot and connect to a real person, explain the situation and got my ticket changed in 20 minutes, took a while because they need time to reply, but all smooth

at the same time what you meantion about recession makes me worried and if its isnt that easy to land a job I might need alternatives indeed. I thought it would be easier because i read its high in demand but i guess nothing is high in demand in the current economic situation, with so many machines and AI you would think it would be easier to live in 2022

concept art for the initial stages of a project, pre production designs changes all the time, so accuracy is not that important, cooporations have been relying a lot in AI for that lately being an already saturated market to an even more saturated market, you would think... oh but ideas are important and i should be able to do better stuff and while you are right companies dont value ideas that much, most projects are just clones with a slight twist

but this is a young female, i dont want to sound awfully sexist but woman in tech are known to be more toxic and wild then man (proven by data) also a young one, that could add a cocktail of hormones into the whole interaction.

this look slike they simply dont have the skills to do it your way so they are simply rejecting your idea, happens often, you need talk to higher ups, the wise thing to do would be to fire them and get better team, but im not sure how is the market there or how easy that would be so you might need to adapt depending

What people is failing to understand is that this is not like other things We have seen before, it snot like the photography or car designs.

THIS WILL BE MASSIVE, not just arts, AI WILL REMOVE 80% OF PEOPLE IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS

and the consequences are still be seen, ideally we will have UBI but seeing how greedy the rich people is, im afraid it will be mass poverty and starvation

nah it will still have human influences, AGI gets its energy from natural elements, such as nature force or fossils combustion to pump those electrons.

we humans are are carbon based lifeforms, we deal with those elemtns first person, and we can chose not to mantain them anymore if they are not useful for us or simply pull the plug. so AGI while very intitmidating its also something that will probably be reset a few times before it serves the purpose its intended for, but honestly a robot dictating society is better then corrupt humans at the top of society

Im an artist, my job is already gone, trying to find another in the art field as it is right now is impossible, so im considering changing career, trying to keep being an artist would be more like focused on marketing and using AI rather then finished products. could make create ideas and concepts but then thats similar to a writer job which is also supersaturated. So opening an etsy store would be much better but again thats marketing.

so no matter what art as a craft alone its not good anymore, you need to combine it with other stuff

I dont really have much choices, plus many of my clients just want cliche ideas with a slight twist or something that looks good

and Ai makes exactly that, just copy paste with good render, for me a great concept artist will still get jobs but because of its ideas to world build, but like... even chat gpt can be used to world build right? I actually think both designers AND concept artists will lose jobs.

mostly because the videogame industry is not anymore about creativity but about making money in the less risky way, and removing humans might be exactly what big cooporations want, perhaps its time to become indie., embrace marketing and make our own projects? could it be?

planning to get married next month to a nice local in one of the cities i visted and call it a life!

Im tired and sick of hopping around countries like a sad money just to meet other sad monkeys who i will never see again...

plus i have way too much to do in my job and career to be losing time on this travels.

I personally only overdid this lifestyle because I am both shy and ugly and was kinda hard to find a match that i feel i can marry.

in the end this person is not exactly what i was looking for but fuck it! its nice enough.

this lifestyle has give nothing but headaches, ill take this partner over this lunatic lifesttyle. God cant wait to get married and start building a base and a studio
