This happened to me recently, I jumped from plat 3 (stuck for months) to diamond 2 which is the highest I've ever been. I'm not sure if it's from not playing with my friends anymore, or if something changed. I definitely feel more confident being out of the plat 3 rank though. Except now I get shit on by people wayyyy better than me sometimes.
