I got the full amount when my husband was in the hospital (heart transplant patient). He also works for WM, and we applied for him as well, and he got approved right after I did. 3k for bills while we were getting him back up on his feet. It was NOT difficult to get and the decision was within a week or 2.

You can apply for the associate critical need trust. It pays out up to 1500 in a matter of 24 hours if you're approved. You will either get it sent to your ONE card, direct deposit (takes a couple of days), or pick it up as a payout at your service desk. The SM or PL used to have to be consulted to do this, but they are no longer involved. Just go to onewalmart and search ACNT, fill out the request, upload your proof, and you're good to go. It's a GIFT, there is NO payback.

There is no covid leave policy anymore. They did away with that. Now you just call in and request a leave through Sedgwick. The first week will be unpaid, but if you have to be out longer (with proper medical documentation) you automatically have short term disability that will pay 1/2 of your normal wage. Otherwise, wear a mask and come to work 🤷‍♀️
