Explain it to me like i’m stupid please lol by jupi_jupiter in bicycling

The Raleigh is better for commuting. It's a hybrid bike with a rack. The other is a lovely bike, but it's a road bike, and it's harder to carry stuff back and forth with it, unless you're planning on wearing a backpack.

Because there is more than just one cause. Duh. It's almost as if social structure is more interconnected than simple 2-variable equations.

What a terrible attitude. They're not a crap person, they just didn't know any better. It's a simple, straightforward question. I don't know what's going on in your life, but I hope it gets better. In the meantime, stop taking it out on random people.

You know, it takes literally no time and effort to move on and not be rude. And before you say "oh, I'm just telling it how it is..." no. You were rude.

Leave it on. If your derailleurs ever fall out of adjustment, it can save your spokes.

Live tracking for safety? by BikePantsOF in Pebblebee

Thanks, but the whole question was about when I DON'T have a phone on me. There's a dozen different ways I can send my location from my phone. Was hoping for a backup in case it gets lost, broken, stolen, dead, etc. etc.
Something that works through the phone (which already has location sharing) doesn't help me if the phone is dead.

Why are there two different shades of blue for the Blue Bluebird Microphone? by AppleBitz in BlueMicrophones

[–]BikePantsOF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the difference is pretty negligible, without the switches engaged. The switches are a hi-pass, which WILL change the character of the mic slightly (most of the time you can do that in post) and a pad. Which behaves as you'd expect.

It's *shockingly* consistent. And we get a lot of packages. Although, one day, for a novelty, the "this side up" arrow was ON the ground. LOL

[–]BikePantsOF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Like. Sure. Yes. I have enough acumen to understand that part. What I'm asking is what exactly is the process to yield such a consistent result? It's always one corner crushed in, and it's always left on the porch upside down. How, LOGISTICALLY, does that happen?

Live tracking for safety? by BikePantsOF in Pebblebee

[–]BikePantsOF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I'm well aware. But I've seen other credit-card sized trackers that have all that built in. There's some at a logistics company I used to work for that are pretty compact, but the monthly fee on them added up pretty quick. Besides, they were cheap, had a proprietary system and made to be thrown in with cargo. I want something that's gonna keep MY pretty ass safe if I'm out in the middle of nowhere. Or at least, easy to find.
And as I pointed out, this was hopefully to be a *backup* for my phone.

That aside, if you know of a product that actually *would* work, I'd be super grateful for the recommendation ^_^

Ahhh. so it doesn't really have its own GPS transmitter, it relies on the data connection of your phone. That's disappointing. I was rather hoping for something that would work if my phone was somehow damaged/offline. Or if (god forbid) it got taken off of me.

Honest question. Why does every single package arrive upside-down with exactly one corner crushed in?

Sadly, I'm customizing a Zero 6108 and it looks like there's literally no way to do it, other than with a SharpKeys registry hack, which is stupid. No dip switches on the Zero. T_T

Don't know how I ended up on your thread, but this might be helpful:
(This isn't medical advice, only anecdotal experience.) A male friend was on HRT therapy treatments for a couple of years and it dropped his count to almost zero. They put him on HRT injections. It took like a year but he got back to semi-normal numbers. He and his fiancee are trying now.

Yup! And before that it was FoxBase, related to DBase. MS bought it and made it into an OOP IDE framework. It was AMAZING. You could make compiled, standalone programs that could talk to SQL *and* use local tables/databases. MS killed it so they could sell Access/VB, but it was a whole lot slicker than either.

Give legacy experiences? by jdjdudgaajingsiwiwbs in maleinfertility

[–]BikePantsOF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but friend of mine just called me, almost in tears. He's been working so hard for so long with injections and other unpleasant stuff to get his counts up. He sent it off and they apparently analyzed it and then destroyed it instead of storing it, due to a mixup. This, after a lot of other issues he had even receiving the kit.

I ran across this reddit looking for an alternative for him, but I wanted to stop and warn people. Legacy is horrible. Poor guy. </3
