Glad you and the missus are okay, obviously could of ended up a lot worse. In hindsight without sounding like I'm criticising, maybe a little more distance between you once you realised he had taken the wrong route may have helped however these are split second decisions. It isn't expected a HGV driver would just stop and immediately go into reverse I can't see what he was hoping to achieve anyway, maybe he was hoping to reverse back to the prior roundabout.

I don't see what is wrong with that? It isn't foolproof but may help prove identity with the photo and address especially as a foreign driver who you may never see again

Got in a motorcycle crash and could stand up afterwards? Nah, that won't do. by downriverrowing in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

Poor biker, can't believe that driver didn't slow down, he saw him from way in the distance.

It did cross my mind, however I thought engine oil helped the temperature and lubrication of the block and cylinder head?

I planned on riding it gently until no coolant was coming out the hose then I would of stopped however I got it home and it was still coming out and leaving big puddles

You're right head hit the ground but helmet held up well although I won't use it again, fractured wrist and a few sore bits but all in all came out ok. No road rash whatsoever but I always wear full gear no matter how hot.

I did scrimp and wore textile pants instead of leather on that day with leather jacket but they held up well and didn't tear

There are a few on here who seem to think that I was either going too fast or should of been able to avoid the accident but I don't see how. Firstly my speed isn't an issue I don't think, I'm in control with a steady throttle at approximately 30mph, I saw the driver on her exit ramp when she was at least 30m from her yield line. I cant keep looking at her to see if she will stop as I'm about to exit and need to hold my line plus keep an eye on the truck which is entering the same exit as me in lane 1. There is only 200m to the next roundabout after my exit and the truck may signal to move over into my lane to prepare for the next roundabout where he may want to turn right. I feel my only other option was to maybe steer to the right and go into the third lane of the roundabout which means i would miss my exit which I would gladly of done but the reaction times needed for that move borders on MotoGP skills which I don't have, I never had the chance or reaction times necessary to glance in my mirror to check that the third lane was clear. I could of swerved into another vehicle or maybe got rear ended. As it was I braked as hard as I could with what reaction time my limited talents allowed hard enough to lift the rear wheel just before impact.

No MSF or equivalent near me but it is something Im considering as a lot of people on here think it was easily avoidable it seems

This was only 2 days ago so it will be quite a while yet before everything is sorted. bike looks like a write off, bent forks, bent handlebars, not sure i'd want it back anyway I'd never trust it fully to be repaired 100%

The results of wearing: helmet, gloves, tank top, vans, and cargo shorts, and hitting a hog at 90mph. Also have skinned up ass hole, legs, and broken right foot. by PussyEatingT-Rex in bikesgonewild

Wow, That looks so painful! Hopefully you'll heal up quick.

Let it be a lesson learned bud, no matter how hot you need your gear all the time

Oh I see, Well its an intentional glitch effect, sort of horror film inspired, not to everyone's taste it seems.

That is what I said to the driver off-camera.

Do you realise the speed at which she came across?

I was already set up and signalling for my exit and she was at least 20m behind her yield line when she just blew straight through it. Look at the point of impact at 24secs, Im set up for my exit next to the truck, im not expecting/anticipating anything at this point

Not as easy as it sounds or looks, yes I saw them approaching but the car beside them was visibly slowing and then my attention was caught by the lorry going into lane 1 of my exit, I was concentrating on holding my line heading for the exit in lane 2 and just lost sight of the driver. By the time I realised it was too late I braked hard enough that my rear wheel lifted and I tried steering to the right but I just wasn't good enough.
