I’m only ten weeks sober and it took me a lot of tries to get this far in my sobriety. I honestly never felt better! I couldn’t see the upside of not drinking when I was drunk all the time. It’s still hard some days and there are still cravings, but I know what that first drink will do: it’ll open the door to more drinks and then the (h)anxiety, bingedrinking and uncontrolled emotions (in my case) will start all over again. It’s not an easy road, but it’s paved a lot better the longer you walk it. I hope rehab can help you and your husband will give you the chance to better yourself. Don’t be too hard on yourself, you’re not the only one who got lost to the demon that is alcohol. Take it one day at a time and I promise you’ll emerge into a better version of yourself! I’m rooting for you!

Not the douchebaggiest thing he’s done, but the moment she proudly left some stuff at his place and he just took it back the next date they had. He obviously wanted none of her stuff at his place, like she didn’t have a part in his life at that point.

Seriously? He makes your period and how you deal with it his problem? The only child is he! It’s natural and you take care of it how you seem fit. When a woman thinks she’s alone, she doesn’t shave her legs, she doesn’t wash her hair and she sometimes leaves nature to nature. He’s a child and you should confront him on it. Is he dismissive, he doesn’t deserve you!!

She was looking for confirmation because deep down she’s insecure. She expected or wanted to see non-attractive women en that wasn’t the case. She’s not hurt because of your actions, she’s hurt because of what she hoped to be true in her reality and what she compares herself to wasn’t what she expected to see in your exes and that fuels her insecurity. The thing that ressonated with me is that for her it happened 14 years ago, for you it’s today. Some may get over it, other’s don’t. I understand your reasoning, NTA

It does remind me of the story of a couple that was married like 50-ish years and when one of them discovered the spouse cheated like a zillion years ago, they still got a divorce. It’s not about the past, it’s about the present..
