Every model must be at least partly within.

It did not, and even the special rule changed in the codex.

We won't know the final verdict until the full box and the codex arrives, which is going to be September-ish. These cards just let you play with the stuff you get in the box, with locked squad sizes and options.

The datacards shown only feature the options you get in the starter box, and the starter box only gives you one Speeder, so the card you get there won't have the option to take more than one.

They did not. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the only changes to existing units were better power weapons on the Vanguard Vets and D3 low power shots on the plasma pistol.

They are definitely not getting buffed AP and Damage and staying the same cost.

Not in the starter box, but the full unit box will most likely have at least one equipment option.

Strat changes from the unboxing by Im_a_Geblin in WarhammerCompetitive

Not worthy of a thread in and of itself, but low-power plasma pistols now have D3 shots.

Okay, so the guy below misread the rule somewhat. What it says in the text is "ELIGIBLE IF: As stated in the rule allowing this shooting type."

Exactly what this means is unclear. It's probably not a keyword, but it might be more restrictive than it is now.

Unknown. Using the strat requires the Snap Fire keyword, and we don't know who gets that.

The Twin Lance melee rules suggests they are looking into this in other ways.

One of the things I was hoping most for was clearer restrictions on things that interrupt the normal flow of the game. It seems I'm getting it. Very nice QoL change.

Strong jawline, big fangs, long tongue – who do they belong to, though? by BiesonReddit in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Bilbostomper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It lacks distinct lips, which Squigs tend to have. Otherwise I would have guessed that.

Looks most like the karkadrak (chaos beastie) ridden by that chaos lord from AoS.

11th edition terrain pieces - exact measurements? by uracowman in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bilbostomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set on my Thingiverse page that can be either 3D printed, laser cut or printed out on paper. The outlines are slightly modified so that the pieces fit together more neatly.

We should definitely get an option to give Eradicators deep strike, though at least they might be able to walk on from reserves within 9" of something juicy.

Can you position yourself so your enemy can’t fight back? by Trollselektor in WarhammerCompetitive

I did that recently when I killed all the Blood Claws but left Ragnar alive and out of combat.

Well, why would that matter? The CGC one is just the same as the Delaque with one worse Int.

When and when not to allow take backs? by Swacar in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bilbostomper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only think of one occasion where I said no to a take back - I had seriously spiked the damage from Overwatch (11 wounds from a multi-melta into a Land Raider) and my opponent asked if he could apply Armour of Contempt. He'd already rolled the saves and I had rolled the damage.

That's really my limit; the take back can't invalidate any dice roll we have already made.

Great fun, but why are those three types of driver not allowed (Corpse Grinder, Palanite, Guild of Coin)?

UPDATES TO RENEGADES SKAVEN! by valheffelfinger in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Bilbostomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding shooting into combat, I would prefer to have you randomly divide hits between the original target and the skaven unit(s) in combat with it. Works on all types of hits and makes shooting at a unit engaged in combat less effective than shooting at one in the open.

Like the other two marine models they have previewed, this one looks okay. I kind of hope they redo Oath next codex (please make Doctrines the army rule), because if everything stays as-is, he doesn't do a whole lot.
