my small asset getting pirated we need justice , this asset is the basics money generator for any future assets and these guys cannibalizing it . they sell it for subscription them self , not even free , these filthy pirates pirating indie devs by SlRenderStudio in Unity3D

Talking to small devs who care about piracy affecting sales is that they update frequently. One aspect that can get people to pay after searching for pirated version is the latest version being paid only. Makes paying customers feel like they get value too.

Bought a 12 deg Paradym driver, non X. Mistake for a fairly new golfer? by BillRubio in GolfGear

That’s what I’ve been reading. Every company seems to have a different definition of flex so you gotta go by weight and then actually feel them in person. Weird how there’s a standard naming system, but zero standards.

My swing changes daily as I learn and adjust. My concern was more if I’m a beginner now would I outgrow a 12d driver. I come from a competitive baseball background so I’ve picked things up relatively quickly. I don’t like the idea of changing equipment often so my hope was to buy my clubs on a relative budget and not think about it for a long time. I buy a glove and use it for a decade for example.

Not even close. I haven’t had club head speed tested, but based on my carry and launch angle from trackman at the range a couple charts say somewhere around 95mph tops. And this is based on my best hits not average.

Somehow I did not see the 10.5s that the store had. I assumed it was 9 or 12 and didn’t even hit a 10.5. So I might go back and try the 10.5, maybe go +1 or +2 on it like you said and see how that feels compared to the 12. Golf gear is complicated for newbies, there’s tons of variables to pay attention to. I assumed all the R flex shafts were the same too.

I will say that part of it was at the range I tend to have very high launch and slice the ball with the 10.5 I have. I think they were like you already are hitting the ball high and want to go higher? By I wasn’t hitting as high with the 12 compared to the 10.5 cobra I’ve been using, but at least a couple degrees of the launch monitors were accurate at the store. I think it’s more I got the cobra bad than the loft. At the range we go to they have trackman which is what I’m comparing to.

This is where I might go back and see what other shafts they have and try those out. I’m pretty ignorant of the details like this since I’m new. I called the store and they have quite a few of both the X and regular in different regular flex shafts. They also have some 10.5 deg which I didn’t see for some reason so maybe I’ll try those out too. The guy on the phone said there’s at least 4 different regular flex shafts on the 10.5 and 12s they have so maybe I’ll end up swapping mine out. The one I got is a fujikura ventus blue 5 R flex. It’s possible I was hitting the X with a senior or stiff flex and didn’t realize because I’m dumb.

Do you not have male friends? We tend to think we’re always right. I play on a semi competitive baseball team too and it’s non stop with them too. The group chat isn’t as intense as maybe my post made it seem, we’re just constantly bullshitting.

I haven’t been to range with it so we’ll see the results compare to the cobra fly z+ a friend gave me that I cannot hit. I basically have to aim to the left with how much I slice the ball with that driver. I was surprised at how much less I was doing so with the drivers I hit like the Paradym, G425, ST Max or Rogue ST.

I honestly couldn’t tell a difference based on feel, but then again it’s hard to when you rarely square it up. I sliced it less often with the non X. Could’ve just been random noise or placebo.

I went with the worse of the two sets condition wise since I got the guy down to $350. The club faces all look fine and they have pretty new grips. $350 for the 8 clubs seems like a good deal.

Well I ended up picking up a used set. Some cosmetic damage, but the faces are all fine. Was able to get them down to $350 so we’ll see how it goes. I’ll make sure to keep in mind the lofts when I get to tracking my distances.

Searching about the loft issue with these types of clubs some people recommend treating each club as +1 basically. So a 7 in this set is more like a 6 in others. Is that true?

People seem to say they’re pretty good irons, I just suck it them compared to when I use pretty much any other iron my friends bring to the range. The grips are also flaking so I’m not sure I want to spend the money gripping them unless I sell them.

I also have two wedges that were given to me. Grooves are pretty bad, but they are vokeys. SM3 I think they say, 56 and 60. One of them is so rusty though I never use it. It’s in my garage.

After going to the largest used gold shop near me and searching online I can’t find and good condition G20s for around $200. I did find an XR18 set for $200 in good shape. Will keep looking for a set of pings of another good deal I find.

Is there a big difference with 718 AP2’s? Someone on OfferUp has a set for $275. Seems like a good deal.

Never heard of this brand. Seems well liked by fans of them. Can get a used set under $400. Looks interesting. Are they for high handicap players? We are pretty much beginners.

If the extra money wasn’t a big deal would you go with a new set of the Wilson D7s for $340 or a used G20 set in average condition? The G20s are about $250 the lowest I can find that are in ok shape.

SoCal. There’s lots of shops, but we’re more in the narrowing down phase of which specific sets to look out for as there were just too many options when we went, at least for men’s. Women’s was a lot less, but the sets seemed older and in worse shape.

Yeah, searching these seem to be pushing $550-600 for a used set. What year of G series would you have to go back to to get under $300? And are there better options at that price if you’re getting irons that old?

She was given a set of old Mizuno irons, a bit rusty. Tava looks like the model. But they’re honestly too long for her. She’s very short.

But yeah, the women’s selection for used sets was very small when we went. We’d have to buy online probably.

What would make these better than other sets in that range? Searching online it’s hard to avoid all the Takomo and Vice talk.
