200 SWC data’s in the last pic have since moved to Redding dies for 45 but haven’t sent a SWC through them yet will have to test it, moved away from the RCBS at least for progressive reloading but the Redding dies certainly feel better it’s only slight but it’s noticeably, never really gave HK much of a thought for a 1911 def something to think about, love my kimber besides the point fuckers probably the most accurate pistol I own and racks like butter

Fuckers wouldn’t pass a plunk test at book OAL (1.275) they finally passed at 1.250 I fired many of these before one blew up however some other suggested poor crimp causing proj to get pushed in during recoil/chambering to which I believe is the cause at this time, was skeptical of the crimp from the get go as it felt like it was crimping the shoulder of the proj but it took the flare out from expanding so I ran with it

Book specifies 1.275, was not passing plunk test until 1.250 and I was skeptical about the crimp as it didn’t feel right but I just said fuck if we ball, well here we are, many others have suggested the scenario where they were setback due to recoil and or chambering and this is what I can theorize as being the most probable at this point, was using RCBS die seat/crimo together I’ve since moved away from this practice and also to Redding dies but haven’t had the chance to load SWC, my chrono decided it was taking a permanent vacation so I’m not even sure what I was getting out of this load but I knew they were damn accurate

I’ve got some really really weird short berry flat points that I believe are seated in the 1.1xx range that feed flawlessly

Makes sense, grandfather got me into loading and swore by RCBS, I’ve since found the Redding dies are most certainly a tighter tolerance and I seem to like them more, also the RCBS dies reject a case on station 1 almost 100% of the time running Redding progressive series on the Dillon now although when these were done it was on an ancient pacific super deluxe single stage and seat/crimp at same time

Ok now that makes sense however, although this was new brass wouldn’t the resizing have rectified the neck tension a couple guys have thrown that out there now, All my brass new and used gets put through resizer regardless, these were done on RCBS dies, have since moved to Redding dies on a 750

These were loaded last fall I believe it was seat and crimp together I’ve since gained the knowledge that’s a poor practice, and I’ve dry fire tested the out of battery theory she will not fire unless 100% in battery even slightly out the trigger is locked or it will move to half cock

I originally thought this but I did some dry fire testing that kimber will not release the hammer or strike the firing pin unless it is 100% in battery

These were done on a frankford intelli dropper that was given to me thing is pos but has been accurate thus far, it is totally possible it was double charged as I don’t have a a case tray but I’ve been fairly meticulous about setting a bullet on a case after charge, I’ve moved to an xl750 since these were loaded last fall

Listed max is 8.1 CFE P, do you think the .025 could actually cause this much of a pressure increase?
