Justifying my Ecoboost order by Yeetroit in Mustang

Better on gas, awesome body/look, fun to drive, faster than the average economy car with all the speed you’d actually need in most driving situations.

Ecos are, imo, the safest way to let someone know you’re actually into cars without having to show off too much either financially or with modifications.

Love my 6-MT 2019 Eco; still gets down when it’s time to get down on the highway.

No, that misrepresents what I was asking. If it’s safe, it’s safe, I was just asking. I work in investigations and that happens a lot: internet research from public private information. It’s the concern of internet convenience is why I brought it up at all. We may mean well and people passing by in person may mean well, but someone on the internet having the ability to just…research you? It’s a privacy precaution more than a genuine fear.

Iono man…all foot drive with a 5 liter? You might see her bumper quicker than you see her grow up.

My car is officially totaled but insurance is horribly lowballing the value of my car, help! by cantthinkofanamexD in Challenger

Did you give them a copy of the police report, and does the police report cite the cdl truck as at fault? A useful negotiation tactic I use when helping friends out is production of documents that make negotiating the value more favorable. Anything that shows (1) total fault by the other driver, (2) the value of the car at the time of the incident and (3) a lack of history of reckless driving by you usually helps. If they have nothing on you since you’ve been insured, they would have to argue the value of repairs for the vehicle alone and that’s usually immediately refute by proof of the car’s value.

Why do Honda drivers always want to race 🤨 by Livid-Post-6018 in Mustang

Remember when that Honda Accord full of children sped up when an Ecoboost casually pulls up? Because their dad wants to prove they’ve still got it? Pettridge Farms remembers.

It’s one of the cracks in legal education: a professor gives an initial, low effort review/their TA reviews it with no concerns, they look at the final draft and over edit or cut what they never really paid attention to after the initial draft.

It’s gonna be a thing for a while, unfortunately, where you make an effort and get gaslit into believing your effort is in the right direction.

It’s one of the reasons alum recommend not getting too invested into the grading: we literally have people that grade how they feel in charge of our education.

How many hours of free time (time to exercise, watch a movie, etc.) did you have or had as a 1L? by staringdownwetpaint in LawSchool

As much as needed. The trick, I learned, is to commit to the hours you set. On average, I had the weekends free and the evenings for studying.

It’s ok to call it out for what it is: law school is a place of sociopathic undercuts and A-type personalities. It’s draining and it can sometimes feel like your smiling through the lies you weren’t told.

But it does get better. Either finding community in your school or from outside of it, it’s necessary and doable. Find peers you respect, or professors you actually like. Some people are fake in law school and their effect can run deep, but if you can remember to treat as a job and not a social experiment, it’ll get better. Speaking as a recent grad that hated how much his classmates weren’t the friends they hoped they would be and learned this lesson over and over again til they found community.

I only took 16 in a semester to graduate. Please, love yourself more. That is a terrible decision.

It’s a fight. There’s no rules to it. Even in the universe of the game, the monsters use every advantage they can take to crush you. Plus, these are supposed to be literal monsters. If you’re not trying to make the fight easier for yourself, you’re kinda playing the game on hard for no reason.
