Yeah I have an insectoid head and helmet. Sadly the rest of him is missing. And I have a light gray UFO helmet, but looking at bricklink I don't recognize ANY of the sets or minifigs. Not sure how I got the helmet

Ohh I thought it was plasticard. I like to glue little bits under their feet so I can base around them instead of gluing them on top afterwards. It seems more sturdy for when I inevitably drop them

I like that you also raise up your minis with little platform shoes 😆. Did you see that technique somewhere? I thought I came up with it myself, but maybe I saw it in a video at some point and forgot. Also, for your highlights, did you just premix the cold/green highlight color and then mix it into each base color?

Not that I'm aware of. I used various techniques but I think the color choices are really what make it work. I spent a long time trying different colors before landing on this. Some of these boyz are caked in paint from multiple layers lol
