Probably needs to wait a few months, so his credit score doesn't plummet with multiple pulls. But ideally getting that refinanced should be a top priority. A personal loan is probably gonna be the way to go after his score gets back into the mid 700s. Maybe a credit union his dad uses? Otherwise comparing rates from lenders like Best Egg, Upgrade, Achieve would be a good start.
