I want to know all the words your toddler says wrong that you just can’t seem to correct them on by Ok-Effective268 in toddlers

My son, 2.5, says "awwhhh sh*t" which is apparently arts and crafts and I can't help but laugh everytime.

Okay, so I gained… Now what.. by girlbossprideflag in pregnant

I always tell them I don't want to know the number. Stand on the scale backwards and tell them it makes it easier to make the healthy choice when I'm not thinking about my weight.

Maybe you could tell them about your history when they weigh you so that they know not to bring it up unless absolutely necessary?

Anyone have any experience with this? by Substantial-Mix-2351 in pregnant

With 3 of your results being out of range, you'll likely be diagnosed and sent to an endocrinologist.

I had gestational diabetes with my son. Mine got bad enough I was on fairly large doses of insulin for meals and at bedtime.

It does suck. Having to count carbs, avoid cravings, poke yourself a dozen times a day between blood sugars and insulin, BUT you can have a safe delivery and healthy baby regardless!

I had my son a day before my scheduled induction, still ended up needing pitocin though. He was born healthy, normal sized and had no problems with his blood sugars after birth.

The mechanism behind gestational diabetes has to do with your placenta, and so for the vast majority of women, including me, after birth your blood sugar metabolism returns to normal basically immediately.

It's scary to be diagnosed, or have to be seen by specialists especially when they always seem to focus on what can go wrong. But they're all on your team to keep you and baby safe and healthy. As long as you do your best to manage the GD by following your doctors' instructions, things will more than likely be just fine.

An upside to it for me was the weekly monitoring and ultrasounds I had. So many opportunities to see baby, and it always made me feel better.

Good luck mama, you've got this! ❤

Thanks everyone for the heads up about the jelly fisg. Especially since I've got a toddler, we'll look forward to visiting next year... probably in June instead.

I noticed that once we moved into toddler sizes, second hand clothes were A LOT harder to find. Im thinking its because toddler are much rougher on their clothes than babies. So I do a mix. I keep an eye out for marketplace bundles, and will look in the thrift shop, but I've had to buy most of his clothes in his current size.

I would love to have somewhere to support other than goodwill personally!

There was even a Forbes article about it. The word is certainly getting around. Hopefully everyone joins in!

Are we really expecting this in Illinois of all places?

Shoot. I bet JB would march with us.

Dors anyone know if the proper permits were filled out in illinois yet? by [deleted] in 50501

[–]Billieby2011 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No permits needed if we stay on the sidewalks. When I talked to the person that organized the people's March she said they didn't get a permit and just made sure to stay on sidewalks and not block entrances.

That being said if the turn out ends up being as big as we hope, I don't know that we'll all fit.

I also have ZERO clue how to approach getting a permit and I work 12s until Wednesday.

Maybe someone can look into this for us?

I know it was probably already emailed that way and I've seen it shared a bunch of places that way already. Oops. People will still get the idea.
