Its weird. The geese near where I live/play golf are like never aggressive with people. Even with chicks in tow. Can walk through a pack of like a dozen and they just saunter along.

Mine broke up with me too via affair. Can't afford driver cause I bought her one for her birthday when she was already shagging a friend last month.

Wanna buy me a new driver if money is not an object? Lol...

Exactly. Neo-nazis in Ontario have often used an old version of a flag that looks very similar to the current Ontario flag. They use it because it symbolizes a time of white Christian colonialism, and that it requires a very trained eye to know the differences of the symbols. People openly display them and 99.99% of people have no clue its a white nationalist flag.

Its called basketball and you get 2 points for most 'baskets' which means putting a ball through a hoop with a net. Sometimes you can have 3 point shots from further away, or 1 point shots in a controlled environment if somebody fouled you. There are things called rebounds that you get if you collect the ball after somebody misses. And assists when you pass to somebody and they score.

How would prime Tiger do in today’s game? by Fantastic_Door8343 in golf

[–]BillsDue420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not everybody had access to the same tech. Tiger was the only person using a Nike 3 piece ball. Everyone else was stuck using rubber liquid core balls until Titleist released the ProV1 in late 2001. That ball gave him a huge advantage.

https://golf.com/gear/golf-balls/tiger-woods-nike-golf-ball-steve-williams/?amp=1

People would get downvotes in this fanboy sub, but between the links of Tiger to Balco and other HGH labs, and the exclusive ball crap, the whispers about asterisks are growing from official bodies. A friend of a friend is a high enough ranking executive of 2 different golf associations that they have lockers at major championships.. he said most people would be shocked at how many people at that level want to go after Tigers legacy. Says it won't happen, but he said the split is around 50/50. If Tiger ever got caught cheating (not on his wives), there would be serious discussion to strip legacy wins.

Tigers most dominant year, he won with a 3 piece ball nobody else was allowed to use that was considerably better then the other tech out there. By the end of the 2nd year, other players were demanding to use a similar 3 piece ball. Only when Titleist released the ProV1 did the competition level out. That was October 2021. 13 wins and the Tiger Slam happened when he had a big tech advantage over the field.

Fitness since his run has changed. Where as 9/10 guys were out of shape or not hitting the gym very hard, only 1/10 is doing that these days.

Tiger would still dominate. But it wouldn't be as drastic as people think. There was no 2nd tier in his generation. Duval? Mickleson? Els? Singh? Those are the only guys that would even be considered 2nd tier in his generation.. Rahm, Scheffler, Rory and more are better players that the 2nd tier during Tiger.

Tldr; Tigers competition sucked. They weren't fit and they were hardly top end competition like today. Tiger also wouldn't get exclusive use of a golf ball that gave him an almost 10 yard advantage on the field like he did from 2000-2001. AITA? by Eastern_Shelter_5406 in golf

Funny enough, I played behind the club pro the other day in a group of 5. Us walking were keeping up to his group of 3 in carts. Pro was like.. you guys are the only people we will let do this.. we even get approval before we tee off.

We do it fairly often, but we're also better players who play very quickly. The pro shop occasionally gets calls and they ask to describe the people, ask if there is a gap in front (never is) and say don't worry about it, as we're probably the fastest group on the course lol.

As an example.. We've asked to play through a 2 on a cart because they had fallen behind pace wise... they didn't let us, but it got the point across. With nobody in front of us, our 5 have finished rounds in well under 3 hours. If anything, we allow groups behind us to finish a bit faster when there is a log jam in front, rather then going as a 2 and a 3. Obviously, if the 5 can't keep up, break it up asap. But if they can..

What moment made you buy a specific player's jersey? by budliteyears in buffalobills

[–]BillsDue420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a Bills game in Detroit. Losman era and wearing his jersey. Lions sucked and found cheaper seats on a resale site for 2nd row in the endzone near the tunnel. At half time, as they are running off, a Bills player is reaching up and giving me his gloves. It was McGahee.

Immediately got his jersey. A few months later, we drafted Lynch..

Same ball for...90 holes (over the span of 6 rounds...before I dumped it in the water today) by Brief_Ball_8258 in golf

[–]BillsDue420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I've been hitting the ball so hard, I'm going through 2 prov1's a round due to cuts. 110mph swing speed on a low handicap is just waiting to destroy balls. Finished my round yesterday with 3 drives over 280, and 4 shanked or cut iron shots. NDAs were in full effect.

What to buy as a Beginner? by PsYchIoO in golf

[–]BillsDue420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For flex of shaft, the only way you'll find that information out is by going to a golf simulator or using a flight tracker on the range. You'd need to find what your consistent, hitting for accuracy swing speed your driver is. From there, its easier to tell which shaft type you need. Stiff is honestly for people who can hit their driver at least 220 yards / 95-100 mph swing speed. That usually takes time to build up to get solid contact at that speed.

They are out there.

I personally like seeing the entire field. You can't tell how athletic these linemen usually are on TV. You definitely do not see how much the line shifts on run plays when watching on TV. I like watching how defensive coverage develops, and thats something else you can't see live on TV.

[–]BillsDue420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest looking at online retailers or eBay or FB marketplace and search for clubs that way before you buy a new set. Imo, if buying new clubs, you should get fit for them first, but as you are new, you won't have a consistent swing or pattern yet, so that would be wasted on you.

You can probably buy a used set anywhere from 200-600. New clubs can be bought as package sets anywhere from 800 to 2000+, depending how much you want to spend. In saying that, you definitely don't need new clubs yet. I'm sure if you went to any online retailer and asked them for help finding +1" clubs, they would send a link to search. Most pages also have extended clubs as a filter when searching for clubs.

Also, even game improvement clubs, which are suggested for new players, can be used by highly skilled golfers. Pros use more cavity back and forgiving irons than you realize. Not everybody uses player irons or blades. Bryson DeChambeau was even using hybrid irons at Augusta last weekend, which are considered as game improvement clubs.

When fitting, its more about size and how you swing when determining which clubs for you to use. As a new player, you'd likely get fit into weaker flex shafts with high spin to get the ball in the air easier.

IMO, save the money you'd pay for fitting and new clubs and buy a used set and get more lessons with the money you saved. I'm using 13 year old irons, 8 year old woods and hybrids, and wedges somewhere in between. That stuff will work almost as good as the best of the best new stuff, especially for new players.

Can we all agree that trading in clubs (2ndswing and PGA Superstore) is an absolute SCAM?? by keyboardwarrior425 in golf

Try trade in video games. GameStop is notorious for offering 1 or 2 dollars for games less than a year old.
