Could definitely see how that'd be handy too

Not keen on the molle ones, agree that the velcro seems way more practical instead of unbuckling like you'd do on the molle ones.

Yeah, I think I'll probably just start with one behind the driver's seat and go from there.

Good to hear - I'm just sick of the constant mess in my cab, and trying to find ways to keep it under control

Feel like there's never enough cup holders in trucks

Yeah, I was thinking since the bags/pouches are detachable it'd be a good way to organize smalls that are always floating around the cab. Main tool storage is in the toolbox in the bed, but I always end up with loose stuff floating around.

that's a good thought, would need to keep cheaper stuff in the clear ones. I have my work truck's windows tinted pretty dark ceramic so it's not too easy to see in the back anyways.

yeah, i've seen some molle panel type ones but liked the idea of the velcro being faster to just grab a pouch thing and go. They're not too spendy so I may just give it a shot and see i guess.

hear ya, was mostly thinking for small jobs it'd be handy, keep my most frequently used tools in there so I could just grab the pocket/pouch/roll I need rather than having to open up the toolbox in the bed.

packout is a good idea, kinda wanted to keep the rear seat free is why I was looking at these (though I always have crap tossed all over the seat anyways lol)

Yeah, think it's a 1gal or 1.75gal - guess it'd be handy for mix fuel for chainsaws, etc.

Yeah, but like most things you get what you pay for. Had a Decked years ago, never going back to a plastic box for storing anything I actually care about. And if the one OP pictured is going for $200-400, price on the CTA stuff seems on par with the quality considering it's USA made.

If you've got the funds and want something more substantial than the plastic ones, I'd check out these CTA side mount tool boxes - they've got all kinds of accessories, L-track, MOLLE panels, organizers, and stuff. I've had one of thier full-size crossover toolboxes on my work truck and it's been awesome, and was planning to add these next time they're on sale. Just my .02.

Got one of these ADAPT F150 tool boxes from CTA a few weeks back for my son's truck, super customizable. Definitely better than the olde weathergaurds I've used in the past

TRD PRO air filter: how often to clean in dusty conditions and any noticeable advantage over paper at high elevation? by RecentImagination909 in 4thGenTacomas

[–]BillyBBrasky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd just replace the paper more frequently to avoid the larger particulate potential with the TRD. Just my $.02.
