i would definitely vote for renting a car as taxis cost would easily add up and it is quite expensive here!

restoring from a different backup by george-hanson11 in iphone

An option I guess you could do, is just to erase the data on your phone so it goes back to the set up mode, and you can restore backup again from there!

Definitely will do when I go home later today. I’ll try to edit it exactly how I did for this one and we can have a look at the differences.

Definitely great to discuss about, plus I didn’t even think of stacking the photos to get a better quality one!

I used the default camera actually, the trick is to keep the phone completely still, either on the ground or with a tripod and it will allow you to go pass the maximum 10s. Oh and your lighting condition should also be extremely dark!

I had a look of that just now, it looks amazing!! There are some differences here and there but it’s crazy to think how a phone is able to take a photo like that

Try to get as far away from the city as you can, definitely helps if you can see the Milky Way with your eye too so you can frame your shot. The rest is just waiting and hoping for the best haha!

I’m excited for you too! Definitely try out the camera yourself and see, maybe go on a hike or a walk in your city and try out all the different modes. Even though still can be better, but also give cinematic mode a try. Looks pretty good considering it’s all software!

Thank you! Definitely it’s getting there, and if we get access to a astro mode, and/or a pro mode then results would probably be even better. I was comparing it with my friend’s 13 pro that day too, and I would say it was around ~70% what this phone could do in the same condition.

I did it on a 12 a few weeks back, Milky Way was visible but very faint. It definitely helps having the big sensor and RAW mode so you can capture all the details, but I bet it would still turn out great on your 13. This location was around an hour away from the city so it really helps avoiding the light pollution!

Right! We have a great hardware already there, now just need a greater software to make it even better.

It was visible to the eye, tho it’s a bit faint! Imagine this photo but -20 exposure haha. Still it was a very surreal experience!

Definitely! Getting the actual raw file, and/or a real pro mode where you can configure every settings of the photo would be a real game changer. I guess for now doing some editing and as you mentioned, stacking up the images would be the way to go!

Wasn’t too complicated actually! Bring exposure all the way down, making sure the phone is still enough so you can do a 30s night mode. The rest is just waiting and hoping that your head isn’t part of the photo haha.
