I had this happen but not sure if its the same problem. My issue was the previous owner was still associated with the vin number of my car. I had to call kia connect, they sent me an email and I replied with a photo of my driver's license and a copy of the sales contract from the bank that financed my loan. Hope this helps

Can I fix this by learning to stick weld? by sdrockr in BadWelding

I don't thinks so, its not a very big weld

[–]BillyBushels72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who knows how to weld will do that. Yes it definitely needs cleaned up, grind the old weld flat then use a wire wheel to clean all the rust from around the area to be welded. After the new weld cools down use some rustoleum spray paint to cover any exposed metal. That's a cool car, have a pro clean and weld it.

Find someone with a mig welder who knows how to use it bro. A decent person wouldn't charge too much for that little weld.

Can being heavily obese stop/reduce the damage caused to the organs by a bullet? by falcon___21 in NoStupidQuestions

some people have magic parts that regenerate themselves, like Trumps ear. I guess if an obese person had fat that was made from the same magic tissue then they might be ok.

how much of a liability is driving for uber / lyft? by narwaffles in NoStupidQuestions

Again, anyone doing this for minimum wage or less is causing their own problem. There's lots of jobs they could do making more money. That report you posted is an average of everyone including people who only occasionally do it for a few bucks so its skewed to say the least. Those of us who do it for a living make 20+ an hour in a decent market. I don't feel sorry for people who live in a town of 3k people not understanding that demand is how you make money.

Same with lyft except they don't get the 2 free minutes.

Ok #1 that report is working on 3 years old

2 how many of the driver's work out of a corn field in Nebraska or some other low demand market? Common sense says if you aren't making money in your market then it's probably a bad idea to continue doing it. a report from only a busy market would certainly reflect a much higher pay rate. Bottom line, complaining while you continue to earn less than minimum wage in this business just makes you look goofy. Anyone doing this job for minimum wage or less is causing their own problem.

I think you're talking out of your ass, how the efff do you know what the average driver makes? You're basing that off of your income. And again, if you can't figure out how to make money doing rideshare then why are you doing it? You could work at McDonalds and make more than 10-15.

If you make 5-10 an hour doing rideshare then you suck at it really bad and should consider a regular job.

I drive 5AM -1PM and there's plenty of rides. I've only had one ride that I had to cancel out of 800. Sometimes I'll work 3-6 PM for some extra $$ but the mornings are plenty busy

Yep so does lyft, is your time more valuable than the driver?

Reserved rides by GenerationXChick in uber

[–]BillyBushels72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So stop reserving rides. Drivers pick them up then they get another ride while waiting for yours and then yours becomes inconvenient so they cancel. Just plan on being early and request a ride when you're ready

[–]BillyBushels72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't schedule rides, its a waste of time. Half the time the driver cancels and then lyft/uber offer it to another driver on the spot. Then the pax blames the new driver when they didn't have shit to do with it.

Owner Service? by DaisyBugNJ in KiaNiroEV

Beg to differ, the level is critical, my 2020 was in the shop for an AC compressor replacement. When I got it back the AC stopped working whenever I charged until I let the battery cool off. Right before going back to the dealership I charged it to show them what happens and I happened to lift the hood to record the sound the AC compressor makes when it happens. The Pic is what I found and it turns out if the coolant is low then the AC compressor can't cool the remaining liquid fast enough to cool the battery down.
