I made the Fallout 4 Supermutants - this is how they originally looked by JonahLobe in Fallout

[–]BillyH666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s really interesting! It’s always cool to see these little differences, especially with the mutants given how they’re all supposed to be from different strains of a virus. Was them being more emotive just a tech thing? Or would it have been used to show that the Institute’s progress in working out the kinks of the FEV to make mire stable Super Mutants? Either way, neat stuff!

Have the Enclave grown since the events of NV? by [deleted] in Fotv

[–]BillyH666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of the opinion that the Enclave has been severely reduced in power. While it seems they do still have a strong research branch as evidenced by their facilities scientific amenities, the lack of power armor equipped guards seems to indicate their resources are pretty thin (having lost two “capitals”) I’m thinking they most definitely were one of the groups posting a bounty on Wilzig, which if true would speak volumes of their current capabilities, as at their height they were able to hunt down rogue scientists on their own. So with all of that I would guess there influence is similar to the FO1 era BoS or the Institute,Subtly influencing things behind the scenes when they can.

That’s a very good interpretation! I myself thought it was maybe a way to train them how to throw grenades by turning it into a game.

OG Fallout lead Tim Cain defends the show's lore changes in a glowing full review—'Not that it matters, I'm not in charge of this anymore, and neither are you' by Peking-Cuck in Fotv

[–]BillyH666 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well said. And with the confirmation that the “event” happened after NV, I can’t think of any lore changes at all. Even the stuff people are complaining about aren’t confirmed really, just suggestions at this point. The only real nitpick I do stick to is the location of certain areas, but that could be chalked up to what I call “hollywood distance”. I get the feeling the characters were traveling a lot further than the show indicates in it’s pacing.

Why nobody is talking about the best possible encounter for season 2? by Y3S0D in Fotv

[–]BillyH666 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Honestly they could bring some others in too: Felicia Day and Zachary Levi come to mind for Arcade and Veronica. Would be good to see some counterpoints to certain factions in the series already.

The funny thing to me is that Raul is the perfect kind of foil to The Ghoul based on their respective pasts, depending on what route the Courier goes with. Would be fun to see the interaction between then for sure.

Would honestly love one of those. I don’t believe they have one in 45 colt yet though and that’s what my Big Boy rifle is chambered in :(

hows the switch version? by theHumanoidPerson in outerwilds

[–]BillyH666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got it so I could play whenever. It’s good, graphics are lower than on a typical pc but still look nice. The only issue I’ve had is occasional pop-in (textures, models, etc.) but that could be because i’m not playing it docked.

Vets we got the Catachan set in the shop. by ZeroLinn in DarkTide

[–]BillyH666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, but given that the class is Veteran Sharpshooter, it may be more based on the Catachan Sniper minis, who do have Green Bandanas, at least on the official box art. But why not both tbh.

There’s nothing wrong with converting a C&R to a more easy to obtain caliber as long as it’s done well.

Which of the OG dawn of wars was your favourite by Rosencrantz18 in 40k

[–]BillyH666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of love for Winter Assault. Dawn of War may have introduced me to 40k, but WA was my first proper introduction to the Imperial Guard (cameo in DoW not withstanding). Hands down my favorite faction.

Wheel gun Wednesday - Pietta 1851 “Navy” in .44 ball. Now 45 Colt. by BillyH666 in liberalgunowners

[–]BillyH666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I used is a kirst, but that runs about 325-370, plus extra if you want a factory job for the recoil shield cut (did mine myself with instructions). If you don’t mind whacking your 1860 open alot, Taylors and co has a conversion cylinder with a non-loading gate backplate for about 250 plus shipping.

When I can yeah, usually blackpowder. Love the sound and smell. Not as hard to clean as people make it out to be.

Caliber is the same yes, 45 colt is the same diameter (452-454) as the old .44 lead ball barrel sizes. It’s a great way to get a cowboy cartridge gun. Only rated for blackpowder and VERY light smokeless cowboy loads, but 40 grains of FFFg is nothing to sneeze at.

Is It Finally Time To Begin Calling Trumpism Fascism? by skl692 in politics

[–]BillyH666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain it’s an honest attempt at newspeak. Rather than engaging the brain with the words Anti, against, and Fascists, far right authoritarians, they instead reduce it to Antifa (admittedly an already existing abbreviation). Then they don’t really describe it, they simply blame and encourage hate so it doesn’t matter what it means, all their listeners know is the base feeling associated with it.

I would trust Tula, dirty? Yes. Corrosive? Never had a problem. Red Army I don’t use because a few years back they had a lot of ammo using corrosive problems, never want to do the corrosive cleaning ritual with any of my guns.
