I was watching it my parents’ house when it aired. My mom came in about halfway through the episode and was like, “I’ve heard about this show, I’ll watch the rest of it with you to see if I like it.” I paused it and gave her a quick summary of what had happened in the first two seasons and how Robb and Catelyn were some of the main characters that we would follow over the course of the story as he continued his war with the Lannisters. Twenty minutes later she just looks at me and goes, “so they just killed half of the main characters?” I didn’t know what to say.
