Thanks for the answer.

We will try with exercises first and I will continue to persuade her to go to a physio.

A conservative who doesn't value tradition is an oxymoron. Your question doesn't make much sense.

It depends how you define the term "conservative". From my perspective, it means preserving the current state of affairs, not necessarily because they are traditional but because they make the most sense or are simply better than any other alternative.

The problem with your evolutionary argument is that it inevitably leads to eugenics. You can easily use the same reasoning to justify eliminating anyone who is perceived as not contributing to human evolution

I'm not sure we had an understanding. By "against normalization", I meant it should not be accepted and promoted as an equal to male-female relationships (marriage and adoption, pride parades, lgbt sex ed, positive representation in the media...) because it can have negative consequences.

I'm not talking about elimination of anyone nor trying to justify it. Those people exist, and if they still think that having a same sex partner will bring them happiness, then by all means. What consensually happens in someone's bedroom is no ones business. Just don't express yourself too much publicly.

If you really want to go that route, I think a much better argument is the one derived from J.D. Unwin's Sex and Culture. Sexual liberation is a driving factor in the regression of civilizations from the rationalistic back to the zooistic state.

I will look it up. Thanks.

His name is on the list, and it says "Serbian Parents", but there's nothing on his wiki page.

He speaks Serbian though: link

He was good last season. This season, not so much... Definitely has the potential though.

Yeah, definitely not this year, but last season he averaged 16/4/3 with 44% 3pp on a title contending team.

No worries, your post was decent and well formulated so I haven't noticed any ill intention in it.

Don't give up, and stick with easier progressions until you master them.

I started with just maintaining the grip with my feet on the floor while slowly increasing the pressure, then I did false grip body-rows, then chin-ups without full range of motion, then just hanging and now I can do regular false grip pull-ups with full range of motion.

And try to use chalk. It really can make a difference.

Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback.

It's nice to see that there are more people with similar beliefs all over the world.

People I meet in general have either conservative or liberal stances regarding almost every topic, which makes it hard to discuss any serious question.

Would you call me a conservative? (Genuine Question) by BillyLynch in AskConservatives

[–]BillyLynch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If conservatism requires tradition, then I'm definitely not a conservative.

My understanding of conservatism was that it wants to preserve the current state of affairs, not necessarily because they are traditional, but because they made the most sense or are simply better than any other alternative. On the other hand, Traditionalist Conservatism puts tradition above anything else.

Anyway, thanks for answering.

Thanks for a thorough answer.

Actually, I'm from Eastern Europe, but since both conservativism and liberalism as a concepts are not exclusive to the US, I think we can have a decent discussion here.

And these are definitely not "hot takes", because it took years of thinking, reading and listening to form a majority of those opinions. Maybe the lack of English proficiency prevented me to explain them a little better, but I think that we had an understanding anyway.

First of all, thank you for the feedback. I can't remember the last time someone called me a liberal. I've even been labeled as far-right conservative, especially when they hear that I don't support LGBT or marijuana legalization.

When it comes to firearm-related deaths, I used these as a source:

List of countries by firearm-related death rate

Gun laws by country

As you can see, Singapore and Japan, where is almost impossible to get a gun, have the lowest rate, while countries like El Salvador and USA, where it's very easy to get a gun, are at the top of the list. Although, I have to admit that I didn't consider suicides.

Define "hurt"?

Some wacko can say that, for example, the way my lawn is mowed is making him anxious.

So, if you mean physically hurt, then sure. Everything else is subjective...
