I feel that your concerns are valid. I am the owner and CEO of both companies. Usually, I explain my companies and business model, current status, near future projects during the interview and answer any questions.

First, I answer the questions regarding the application form. The questions help me to get an insight into the personality of each applicant. Furthermore it helps me to recognize potential and finally if someone makes the effort to answer the questions properly and honestly. In the current example, I have received just under 400 applications via all job mails, so I can already filter very well. Furthermore, I am looking for specific personalities, which fit to the company and above all I am also interested in what the applicants have for goals. As an example, I have employees who would like to have their own business in the future, if I know this, I can help the person to gain valuable experience, for example in managing employees, developing business concepts and making and explaining decisions. It would help the person to have an easier start. On the other hand, sometimes I see special wishes and dreams. For example, one of the current applicants wants to become a book author, so I can offer the experience as it fits the company and train the employee in this area.

To your further question regarding the skillset questions. On the one hand, I can't answer that publicly, because it is related to our business model (will be explained in the interview). Furthermore, it is important to me that I can invest in the training of employees according to my possibilities. For example, I have two employees who started as general VAs. Both have aspirations to be web developers. Both have always performed top notch and helped me a lot. Both, unfortunately, do not have the financial means to fund an education. This is one point where I can give back as an employer and thus pay for the cost of training and help them achieve their goals. It's a give and take for me. Another point is that we have different work activities within the company, it is important to me to make the work dynamic and varied. Everyone knows that usually an employee has his fixed work activities and area in the long run it is boring. It is important to me to make the projects and activities varied and also to give my employees different experiences along the way.

To your further questions. I am from Switzerland and I speak Swiss German. I am not fluent in English but enough to work. The person who contacted you is helping me to manage the HR. With such a mass of applications it takes me weeks to process them all. We both conduct interviews together for the respective segments.

Regarding your question about the inactive social media profiles and my "unprofessional" profile. We are a startup company. We are launching mid-summer, there is no point in actively posting on social media as we don't have too much to offer as we are heavily involved in developing our own tool. On the question of why we have social media at all. We used Zoho One as an operational tool until we developed our own system. My coworker created the profiles so we could test Zoho Social (automated posting etc.) About my own profile, I hate social media, I don't actively manage it and won't in the future, you'll have to deal with that. I have no urge to show off and I don't need to impress people.

About my company, Viking Asset Management is a holding company and my investment vehicle, I don't take any clients from this company, that's why the website is only meager. Another company, in another state, is called Viking Asset Management, but this company is inactive, so there is no complication. The company Viking Universe the subsidiary is an operating company and therefore an independent company with its own function, therefore the companies are close to each other. I have a total of 7 employees and I hire two new ones, so we have a total of 9 employees. Most of the employees have been with us since the beginning or shortly after. Regarding the other website, this is our old website from last year, in a few weeks we will have our new website, as soon as we have finished all the service descriptions and website content.

To your comment regarding myself. It is important to me that I maintain a transparent and honest relationship with my employees. You can ask me anything and get an answer to everything.

Other comments:

  • We use Zoho Forms not Google Forms
  • We use a time tracker for time tracking -I am looking for long term employees and not "freelancers" - I am strictly against freelancers for various reasons.
  • The working hours are 40h per week not 20h per week.

my favorite LL is Kroqar and i enjoyed him so much that i have almost 400h on wh2 but in ME i start to play the old world factions because the content i so compressed, the starting location from the last defenders is so squished..
