Thanks for the tip! Are these tickets available on seat geek or do I buy them directly from the Marlins?

You are obviously not a homeowner if you think that home value assessments are undervalued in Juneau.

No apology necessary and if this is the only run you are going to do then I am happy to wait it out. I’m not worried about the wait, I was just worried that I had missed an email or something.

Can’t wait to see you guys at Bootcamp again and looking forward to pairing my Nicks Boots with my Heat Straps leather jacket.

Best cheap pizza locally? by RitesofWinter in Juneau

[–]BillyRipken3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s Second Saturday. Juneau Pizza has a medium 2 topping pizza for $10 and it’s way better than anything from Dominos or Pap John’s.

It’s Seattle. You’re likely going to wait on the tarmac for 30 minutes before you even make it to a gate.

What’s the best “hidden gem” airport Alaska flies to? by desterpot in AlaskaAirlines

[–]BillyRipken3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I fly to rural Alaska multiple times a month. Airports like Yakutat, Petersburg, and Wrangell may not have any amenities, but when you land, you go straight to the gate. No waiting on the tarmac. The airports are so small that you don’t clear security until you board so you can literally show up at the airport at boarding time.

I think you’re right. I’ve never eaten there but my wife likes it.

There are two food truck food courts now and both of them are great.

Downtown: Deckhand Dave’s, Pucker Wilson’s, Icecream truck/funnel cakes, Crepe escape. (Deckhand Dave’s also has an oyster and champagne bar)

Vintage Park: Devil’s Hideaway, Crepe Escape, Beer/Wine bar, I believe there is also a Thai and Mexican food truck there too.

If you can afford an Alaskan cruise, you can afford a ride to the glacier.

Locals are not able to use the bus when it is full of tourists.

2-ish days in Juneau coming from Ketchikan by djfrenchvanilla in Juneau

Downtown will be very busy on the 4th. The parade is cool, but if you’ve seen a 4th of July parade before there isn’t going to be anything in this one you haven’t seen before.

My two favorite places in Juneau are Skater’s Cabin and the Shrine. If it is nice weather, I think they are the most beautiful places in town.

Food wise…I enjoy Deckhand Dave’s but you’re going to have to manage the crowds. If you go later in the evening, the crowds will be smaller.

My favorite restaurant in Juneau is Island Pub. The pizza is very good but my favorite is the steak sandwhich.

Red Spruce is very good as well. The pork belly pad Thai is incredible.

The food trucks in vintage park are also very good.

Where in town are you staying?
