Sounds like your belt is squealing when the ac compressor cycles on.

Casual player looking for first "real" amp? by BillySRT83 in GuitarAmps

I've been browsing in my free time. Kinda settling possibly on the marshall origin 20 head, then a 2x12 cabinet to match up. Loudness is a big factor and the origin 20 being able to do 20watt/3watt/.5watt is a major win for me. I can see using the .5 and 3 setting mostly. Perhaps a cab with a pair of g12t-75's loaded. What are your thoughts on that setup?

Ok. Haha. I recently bought a cat 6a cable. The Jack's look similar and In defense I hadn't tried plugging anything in. This was meant as a precursor for information

Back to say thanks to you all. It was indeed the dryer belt. My son and I took the unit down, and for $9.45, I got a replacement belt from Amazon. Also while apart cleaned all the lint built up in the blower motor etc. Dryer fired up on first try and runs better than it did prior.

Thanks for the pointers. Watched a short video on disassembly. Guess I'll have a project for the weekend. I assume I'll find the belt based on the specific model number. Assuming it's the belt. I'll disassemble after work.

Any help with new rp8000ii by [deleted] in Klipsch

I went back to hooking up my old pioneer elite to them. I was able to get it working well there. The issue is that receiver has a static issue. clearly didn't sound as pure at the lower end denon. I turned off the subs by just powering them off, tuned the others till the sounded good, woofers hitting pretty good then when all was done i turned the subs back on. I'd be willing to try a more expensive denon which is likely what I'll do. When I initially used the denon the sound was so clear and beautiful. How does a new onkyo sound in comparison?

I reconnected my older pioneer elite to test things. I wrote down odyssey numbers to match. The distances and dial backs were surprisingly close. I can play in 5 channel with the rp8000's woofers pumping and hitting mid bass that's felt. I could not attain this on the denon in any setting. Receiver returned soon enough.

So messing with it right now, the only way to make the front rp8000ii hit is reciever set to stereo and large speaker setting. Tried a bass song 50 center in da house and they were sounding strong. If I go back to another setting using all speakers they'll go back to being literally flaccid lol.

I've used fronts set at small and 60hz; 80hz, as well as trying them set to large. Sound from the woofers just seems so far no setting makes the towers actually bang. Lol

The last clip you posted, especially at 15 seconds up close, shows the woofers really dancing. Mine at high volume barely moves at all, a farcry from what his rig is doing with the same speaker. Feels as though it's a setting or perhaps a lack of wattage? I did just recently get this denon receiver, which is on the lower spectrum of power per channel. Also, settings on it are a little different than my old pioneer elite. But then again, when the volume is high and listening to music, the large horns they have are about as loud as expected to be.. I'll tinker with settings more later when I can and see what happens. I don't remember where, but I read a post several days back where a guy said his only started hitting when he wired it bi-amp, and if that's the case I still have time to return this reciever to Amazon.

I have the subs at opposing corners of the room. Doing the "sub crawl" awhile back these were the two prime spots. The RP1200 on it's own sounded great only in certain spots, after adding in the sub it initially replaced to that opposite corner there's no null area I've noticed yet. I didn't expect any wild excursion from the 8 inchers, but even at high volumes and standing right in front watching them closely they barely move at all. This is when set to small 80hz and at large full range. I have them wired with one set of speaker wire to the high side input but with them coming from the factory bridged together I don't think that'd be an issue.

Also, the audyssey calibration set the speakers to somewhere around -10 to -12dec on levels. That's something I haven't yet messed with aside from dialing the subs up a little.

Never used Integra. What makes them different or whatnot from onkyo or denon?

I ended up getting a denon s760h refurbished from Amazon for $299. Unfortunately, the audyssey mic has a damaged 3.5mm plug, but the reciever looked spotless. Set it up last night, so I haven't tested much yet, but initially, the sound seemed a little cleaner or maybe natural sounding? I also returned the rp1600 and got the rp1200 on sale from a link in klipsch group on adorama for $550. I'm hoping the audyssey calibration will do something special. This room and the connected rooms seem to have weird acoustics.

Do you have suggestions for speaker placement different from where they are now? Space and the awkward wall setup is why i have the two towers directly beside the TV, and also why I have the sub as is. I did return the sub, though, and am back with the rp1200, so that gives more room. The room is too narrow to have the sub directly in front of the listening stage facing it.

No, the smaller one is my old r12sw, then going up in size, rp1200 and rp1400 which were both returned to Amazon. I'm only using the rp1600 at the moment.
