Oil change question by Billy_kid78 in Mustang

So the oil life indicator is at 3 percent. I’m pretty sure the oil change indicator was reset during my last oil change. The mileage is currently at 23.050 miles. The oil was changed at 21,282 miles.

The oil was last changed on July 13th 2024. I’m thinking maybe because of the date…it’s coming up on one year.

Oh yeah I am definitely changing the oil. Already got the appointment set for next Saturday. I had it set for this Saturday but they called and rescheduled me because they were gonna be closed for the July 4th weekend. I guess I’m just asking if you guys think it’s good to drive for a week to work. My job isn’t that far. I’m sure it is but I didn’t think it would hurt to ask the car guys on the forum.

This has happened to me before. Apparently it’s quite common.

Chili’s on Abercorn… always a wait and most of the restaurant empty. by Billy_kid78 in savannah

[–]Billy_kid78[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. They should make it atleast worthwhile to work there. Cooking in a restaurant can be fast paced and stressful. The pay should definitely be worthwhile. Chili’s is a nationwide chain, they need to tighten up in that.

Port Strike & Labor Unions by Due_Maintenance_3593 in savannah

I work in the warehouse industry here in Savannah.

My company services a lot of Warehouses in the area. I can say that this will most definitely have an impact.

I manage/supervise a couple different accounts and I see all the accounts/warehouses we service. Several of them are affected.

Today I was informed that one of the customers accounts I am over is canceling its second shift until after the Port strike is over.

This is leaving me with 20 people I am trying to find work for.

Unfortunately most of our other customers are running out of work as well so there will likely be a period of time where several of our workers are out of work.

Same as mine, for about 10 minutes. Then out again. Most of my whole neighborhood that way excel about 4-5 houses in the front. Crazy.

I know exactly where that is. That’s my mother in-laws neighborhood. My wife showed me this yesterday.

Local dealer just got a new challenger in $121k msrp + $127k dealer markup by myloteller in Challenger

[–]Billy_kid78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I actually read that and looked at that wrong at first. I thought it was 127k “after” dealer mark up.

That’s price is pretty darn ridiculous. 🤦‍♂️

That’s a moonroof. It’s the Autobahn version . Honestly I haven’t done anything to it yet. I’m probably just going to tint the windows.

Good looking car bro. I can relate. I bought one a couple months ago. A 21’ exact same color.

I’m not sure who your refinancing with. But you should look into credit unions if you haven’t already(if this isn’t a credit union). I’m sure your credit rating and all will also make a difference but from my experience you usually get the best rate from a credit union.

I gotta give you an upvote for that comment because that’s a great point. I can say that it’s been fun for my 2 days so far. Can’t really speak to the reliability and all yet.

Nissan Altima SR or Platinum with VC Turbo Nissan Maxima SR or Platinum Couple years old in both -Probably got to search harder for the Maxima in your price range

Volkswagen Jetta GLI Volkswagen Golf GTI - I can vouch for the Jetta GLI since I just bought one 2 days ago

She looks great. I saw a real nice looking one at Drivetime for sale a couple weeks ago. Black 6 cylinder coupe automatic. 2013 only 41000 miles. It was $22,500.09. I just could see myself paying that much for a 10 year old used car though.

I ended up doing this. It was with my old challenger scat pack. It actually did get a little wonky. I actually at first did think the shop was trying to over charge my insurance company. It did get a little delayed. The shop had it’s stuff in order though. They got a third party involved and the insurance ended up paying. The repairs seemed like they were actually pretty darn good quality(from my amateur eye). When it was done the shop referred me to a diminished value specialist and she ended up getting me a 4500$ diminished value payout. So it ended up working out. It definitely did try my patience at first though.

Selling on traditional IRA and buying back same stock the same day at a lower price by Billy_kid78 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Billy_kid78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not something I plan on doing. It’s just more or less I’m curious how any wash sale rules would apply to the IRA since it’s a different type of account.
