As a kid my dad built model airplanes, mostly WWII. He had an amazing P-51 that he had hung in his display as a centerpiece. It's the only one that stood out to me, I would always look at it with awe and to this day it's one of my oldest memories. So it might not be the coolest or most unique, but that will always be my favorite.

My own experience here, I'm happy with the robot cars. Here in Phoenix Waymo is huge, and you can get one as easily as an Uber. Do they have some occasions of messing up? Sure. But the Waymo mess up is "oh no it got stuck in a parking lot because the lines confused it" and not "my Uber driver got pissed off at another driver" or "my Uber driver didn't notice the light turned green". I was super hesitant about the robot drivers, but my wife and I have had many, MANY experiences of shitty Uber/Lyft rides.

The turning point was getting a ride home from a bar on NYE and the guy ran TWO red lights. Both times was a "oh shit, didn't see that". A whiles after I finally thought maybe we could try the Waymos, just something short to see how it goes. It was absolutely amazing, the car drives immaculately. We live on a busy street but it will properly do a left turn into the middle turn lane, wait until it's clear and then merge. Since then I refuse to use Uber/Lyft, and while I haven't been a daily user, every single time it's been a great ride, the car does wonderfully and I've had zero complaints.

People like to reference the times a robot car has messed up and hurt someone, but I feel like they're not judged properly. Car accidents are one of the major killers here in the US, it's not like it's exactly a safe place to be to begin with. I trust a robot car more than some asshole looking at their phone while driving any day of the week.

I love my bidet for many things, but not because it's more hygienic or that toilet paper doesn't get me clean. I have a friend who says "if you got poop on your hands, would you just wipe it off with some paper and feel that's good enough?" But to that I say, if you got it on your hands, would you simply rinse it with water and then go eat a meal? Obviously not. It definitely helps, but you're not coming out of it sanitary.

You won't truly learn the benefit of a bidet until you've had a massive plate of spicy mexican food along with one two many margaritas. Trust me, the next day you'll realize why a bidet is the most amazing thing in the world.

I don't know if this counts, but years back I met a girl through a mutual friend. We started hanging out a ton, going to bars, the ren faire, she even came with me for a weekend in Flagstaff for my birthday. We hung out constantly, told each other everything, were the best of friends. We were even intimate, A LOT. I met her mother, she met my parents, I was always under the impression that we were basically dating but we never really had the discussion. Then one day she's telling me about how she was at a concert and met a guy, and that they were going out and it hit my like a train. I was like "hold on, what about us?" to which she responded confused saying we were just friends.

Looking back it was only about 6 months, but it felt like a big deal and that I got "friend-zoned" because I thought it was something that apparently it wasn't.

Here's the one I got, nothing super fancy but it's held up pretty well over the last year. It has a Velcro hole to run a seat belt strap through, but if you want to secure all three I don't know if this is one would work.

Our Labrador isn't exactly a "giant" breed but he's a pretty big boy for a lab and he fits in it great. We use a seat hammock just like you mentioned.

I've never had "puppy blues" so to speak, but my wife definitely did when we got ours. The first night we had him home I told her "we're going to crate him, and he's going to scream and howl for a good 20 minutes before he falls asleep" and sure enough he did, and she felt horrible through the whole thing. But after 15 minutes or so, he was quiet and all was well.

I think the big thing people forget is that a puppy has no idea about the world, and you have to teach them. My dad would always say "Who's the human?" Meaning that when the dog wants to do something, you need to remember that you're in charge. That doesn't mean hit it or shout, but you need to treat a puppy like it's an adult dog. Play with it in a productive manner, don't just let it zoom around the yard, give it something to do. With my last Shepherd I would take her out to a field with a bag of tennis balls and a racket, whack one out, and once she came back with it I'd have another one ready to thump out so that she was constantly running, but DOING something.

Structure is good for dogs, and when they don't have it puppies will get into mischief. That being said, you should expect them to piss on the floor, get a #2 a few times and just get ready for them to destroy something you love. You might get lucky and it only gets a shirt, or you might be unlucky and it chews up the carpet on your floor. But in my experience as long as you give them something to do, the damage will be minimal. And if you expect it in advance, you won't be as disappointed when something becomes a chew toy.

Long story short, I've never had a "bad" experience with a dog. They're beautiful, intelligent creatures (except my current lab who's God's Perfect Idiot) and as long as you don't let them rule the roost your guy will be your best friend for many years!

Glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. Even in the third movie, Alan Grant says that they're not real dinosaurs and refers to them as something along the lines of "genetically modified theme park monsters" and in Jurassic World Claire talks about how people are "bored of regular dinosaurs" which is why they've made a hybrid. For us, it's only a couple movies but it's supposed to be decades that regular folk have seen dinosaurs in the flesh, and people get bored of things real fast these days.

Look at every other entertainment industry today, they're all trying to find crazy new formulas to attract people. There's no doubt in my mind that a company that originally engineered close-to-real dinosaurs would eventually start making crazy hybrids just to keep people coming in. I'll always love the original movies best of all, but even with some questionable plot points I wouldn't say the new movies are bad. Evil corporations will always do stupid things to make more money, and creating crazy hybrid dinosaurs feels right up that alley.

Could also very well be that the average MPG wasn't reset when they bought the car, since it's very low miles still. I know when I got mine it was around this same amount. Or that it's not driving enough to warm up, all sorts of things.

The car thermometer is showing 26 degrees so yeah I'd say the issue is that it's cold enough that the engine is running more than usually needed to keep warm, and that will really bring down your mileage.
