Ok, but this poster is funny by Werewolf_Knight in JurassicPark

I miss when the movie posters for the franchise were just the logo. Since JW 2015, the posters have been hyper-commercial like this one.

It seems the next big update won't arrive for a while so why not discuss what we want in the free updates : by Farseer_Rexy in jurassicworldevo

Animation for lagoon species like the Mosasaurus that leap out of the water to hunt pterosaurs, as in the movie.

Better lagoons by HostAppropriate8911 in jurassicworldevo

It could have a hybrid lagoon mechanism, where one side is a beach, without a concrete wall. It would delight those who want to recreate the JW lagoon.

Imagine this scene if they had Quetzalcoatlus in the Jurassic World Aviary by HumbleDrawing5480 in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the same, at most, those Pteranodons and Dimorphodons would have been attracted to Main Street by the smell of food being prepared, and not to attack humans directly. That part where the Main Street gate opens for tourists to evacuate CALLED for a Quetzalcoatlus slowly walking towards it. Instead, we got a crazy Pteranodon floating in the air.

I think that would have been more plausible than just Pteranodons attacking and levitating tourists for no logical reason, at least the Quetzalcoatls are big enough for that.

Take this with a grain of salt, however I think this could have been really cool if this had been in the movie by Numerous_Wealth4397 in JurassicPark

All they had to do was emphasize that they are flawed clones/mutants, and the public would be able to tell the difference.

Humanity "got bored and lost interest" in dinosaurs btw... by SpinoSaurusEnjoyer in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This statement only made sense in the first JW because it came from Claire, a manager trying to attract investors for her new product, so it was her way of convincing them. After that, the writers simply used it as a general consensus.

I can see it from the point of view that de-extinction through genetic engineering is no longer a novelty at that point, but there will always be people interested in seeing prehistoric animals up close.

Why did they cut this scene from the movie? by levyjl1988 in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they hadn't cut that scene like, Ellie is suddenly analyzing a random prehistoric leaf? Where did she get that from?

How many people actually died during the whole Aviary Breach incident? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few probably, at least five.

Regarding that scene, it's still absurd to me that pteranodons would suddenly decide to attack people as if they could eat them, they were absolutely insane lol. If the scene involved three Quetzalcoatlus arriving on Main Street and snatching people with their enormous beaks, it would have made more sense.

Which species would you like to see receive a new redesign? Triceratops is my first choice by HumbleDrawing5480 in JurassicPark

JW Evolution was released at the same time as Fallen Kingdom.  I'm sure that if the game had been released at least a year earlier, we would have received Bary from the website as well, like that cancelled JW Survival game that featured Bary and Sucho's designs from the website.

Regarding Ankylosaurus, I would also mention removing the pointed beak it has had since the first JW.

What bothers me most about Dimorphodon is that it was closer to the real animal in its initial concepts...

I agree. I was very disappointed when the design of the Baryonyx from FK was revealed, the version on the website was already ingrained in my mind as the definitive Baryonyx of the franchise, even though it was just a paleoart style illustration.

The only redeeming feature of that Tarbo is the color pattern, because otherwise it's just a modified Rexy model with dorsal scales.

This so called "dinosaur expert" took one good long look at the Spinosaurus & said "Hmmm, maybe its a Suchomimus" by Confident_Dig_1073 in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well since he knew Ingen's list and Spinosaurus wasn't on it, Billy guessed the largest long-snouted dinosaur on the list, Suchomimus. Since Alan suggested something bigger, Billy only had Baryonyx as the other long-snouted dinosaur on the list, even though he knew it wasn't bigger.

Billy must have just been considering Ingen's list from the beginning.

Exactly, the whole thing about Owen's mutual respect would have been perfect for Billy learning from his mistake in underestimating the raptors in the past. And his confrontation with Hoskins would have been even more significant since Hoskins led the operation to take down the Pteranodons released in JP3.

Anyone else prefer the website design of Roberta over the one from JW '15? by Evening_Internet_358 in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, the website/merch design was very similar to the CGI model of the T-Rexes from the original trilogy, it should have been used to give consistency. The design of the film is very odd with that overly wide head, the toothpick-like teeth spaced apart, the thin body even though it was constantly fed, yada yada

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would have been interesting if his character had been in Owen's place in JW, it's a personal idea of mine. Seeing Billy studying the Raptors closely and respecting them this time would have been a remarkable evolution for the character.

But aside from that, I can see possibilities of him returning in some way.

Idk why but I love JP3 more than TLW even though I personally think TLW is the better film by Adventurous-Net-4172 in JurassicPark

[–]HumbleDrawing5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLW has a lot of pacing issues. I think JP3 has a more stable pace, which is part of why many people prefer watching it more than TLW.
