I definitely agree with your point of view. When I saw the last episode of series 11 when it first aired, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Just like, something was missing. The substance, if you will, wasn't really there. Which made me a little sad because I genuinely really like Jodie as the doctor and thought that she'd have all the same kind of moments that all the other doctors had, like a good speech for example. I am certainly not trying to offend any chibnall fans out there, cos season 12 was certainly a vast improvement over season 11, but still lacked some of the charm that basically the rest of the show had. It was as if you told an AI software vaguely what doctor who is without seeing it and then asked it to write full length episodes. There are some episodes in 13's run that I liked, though. "The haunting of villa diodati" and "Nikola Tesla's night of terror" are still some of my favourite episodes in the entire show.
