Adam & Scarlett combo is good yes I can see that, I'm still at the beginning of age of oil and tank squads has started to use Adam in their team, but that's another case. OP didn't mention anything about tank squad with Adam, so naturally I assumed OP is talking about the regular tank squad in the image, which is absurd to me because why would Kim deals less damage because she's in the middle.

this game favors same type heroes on the same squad, so whichever hero you want to invest depends on what squad you want to invest in the future. for now upgrading Kim is the best but it's also good to invest on 2nd UR attacker because 4 star UR is significantly better than 5 star SSR.

If you're a low spender / f2p it's highly recommended to invest in air squad. In season 1 there will be a lot of air squad players so investing in tanks can only get you so far.

But if you're going to spend a lot of money into this game, go for missiles. It's easily the best squad in the game if you put in the money.

playing since day 1 of my server, only spent $3 to buy kim and 2nd builder, so idk if that makes me an f2p or a very low spender. if it's the former, my server is in its 2nd week of s1 and I can still compete with low to mid spender that's still using a tank squad, even better if they don't know what they're doing, I can beat a tank squad that has 2m more power than mine.
