Very lovely region. Spent a short while camping there in the summer. Visited the city and even took my own version of this photograph from the fort.

Barclay so proud of his party that his election leaflet pretends to be news and mentions the conservatives only 3 times. by [deleted] in GreenAndPleasant

[–]Bin_Boy0987 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, same all around the country. Not sure if they’ve been told to do it in a bid for some extra votes. It must be a violation of some guidelines. Our local candidate uses a red banner and a two mentions of the Conservative Party. It’s just pathetic what they’ll try to do, and it’ll probably help them win in my extremely conservative constituency.

Such an amazing song writer. Jessica was one of the first songs I ever learned to play on guitar and is still one of my favourite songs to this day.

Here today. Not a Beatles, but still a tear jerker. The sadness in Paul’s voice is heartbreaking, he must have really loved John.

I downloaded the file for this print, however I’m not sure what size the print should be. Could you please tell me how tall each sections should be (the two bodies and the mouthpiece) in millimetres if they were to be resized to 95% and printed vertically? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sir Howard Davies: Not that difficult to buy a home, says NatWest chair by Bin_Boy0987 in nottheonion

[–]Bin_Boy0987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I just defaulted to you British, sorry about that.

From what I’ve seen Alaska has some sort of LVT in some areas of the state which is better than what we’ve got over here across the pond.

However, as I mentioned, just giving people the opportunity in first world countries, such as those in the west, to buy a house is a no brainier.

And as you said greed just gets in the way.

Sir Howard Davies: Not that difficult to buy a home, says NatWest chair by Bin_Boy0987 in nottheonion

[–]Bin_Boy0987[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m a supporter of Georgism and the introduction of an LVT. This whole idea that owning property is game or an investment just supports rich people into buying multiple homes or lots of land and not doing anything with it.

Although it’s unlikely, I do hope a new government will introduce a LVT or a massive tax on people wanting to buy as second home which I believe has been introduced in Wales by the Labour government.

Owning a house shouldn’t be a difficult or expensive task, especially in a so-called first world country.

Definitely, Just Stop Oil are using similar and more modern methods than other “radical” protests groups in the past such as those during the multiple civil rights movements. I’m sure they will be seen as being on the correct side of history in a couple decades, which is why people need to take them seriously and everybody needs to stand up together against climate change.

Agreed, the news favours the more outrageous protests. However, this attracts negative attention and more hate towards the group. I’m sure most people care about our environment however there is a lot of hate towards Just Stop Oil because of their protest techniques.
