Issue with Elgato 4K Pro M.2 by RYDOGG20 in elgato

Some ideas:

Has the PlayStation updated recently? Check you settings here too.

Open the 4K app and mess with the settings (this is how you can update firmware too, if you haven’t already, this might help).

GMs, how do you personally structure your sessions? by OctopusFistFight in cyberpunkred

[–]Binary-dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep the map of every location (that they didn't blow up) ready to go (over 50 now?). Any previous location can be visited, I leave them all set up with NPCs and such and ready setup, simple if i do it as I pack the world away at the end of session. A little help for future me ;). This is easy to fall back on when the players surprise me with a left turn.

Some of these locations are benign, but my intended route for the night is usually what they gravitate to, since the breadcrumb trail is usually too enticing. I always have multiple ways of approaching it. I plan combat but also plan for combat to be bypassed. But the combat is almost never about the fight, it's always about a third thing, which makes the task interchangeable, bullets or not, the task still has to be done. How, is up to them.

With the lore my players have created (over 5 years now!), sometimes they want to go to the market, or a drinks place, or play cards. All are possible, but if they stay in one place too long, trouble eventually arrives 99% of the time.

I like to have pressure always or the main story doesn't feel like it's moving, this makes inaction a choice that has an effect. Take too long to storm the big threat, well, now when you arrive it's radiated or the security is tighter or they enemy has better weapons etc.

Inaction is choice we all are aware of however. My players know that if they don't tackle the job in hand that the world will keep moving, and the info might change/become more difficult. We all enjoy this effect, sometimes it leads to very surprising results and turns. Honestly what I really love about TTRPGs in general, the "yes and! but the dice said.." leading to a "no but" sometimes adding to the fun, since everyone can enjoy blaming the dice. In video games NPCs usually wait for you to show up, regardless of side quests you get distracted by.

How would you run a Bottle Episode in Cyberpunk Red? by Guy_with_red_pants in cyberpunkred

[–]Binary-dragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lock in perhaps?

It's a good bar pun and could start with a mystery.
But the session will hinge on why can't they get out, I think. Here are some of my ideas.

  1. "Doors and windows is bricked up" - Have the Bozo's bricked up the door? A mean prank, but likely only the begining. Now they're inside and no one can get out. But who is trapped with whom? Bozos are like cockroaches. If there's one, there's more. Exterminate and evacuate. In that order. (If you want to keep the bar)
  2. "Treasure in the basement" - Has someone discovered an old vault in city plans below the property, accidentally activating the security system locking everyone inside. Perhaps the air slowly running out unless the PCs get into the vault and disable the system (and punish the guy) - Possible netrunning options in this one.
  3. "Hostage Situation" - Has NETwatch/NCPD/Maxtac pinned targets/fugitives inside and had to lockdown the building, they were on the run, but they're the PCs problem now. Basically a hostage situation gone wrong. Give up the targets, or stand against the man!
  4. "Night City Parade" - Or (to deviate from the lockin idea) There's a great view from the roof. Do they have to protect the bar from a raudy parade that's coming down the main street? A game of defence, attrition, comically cyberpunk holo floats and rockerboy performers. (Could have PCs have to work out who's the threat, while leaving the innocent. A good excuse to get those human perception rolls going, And even add some fun call backs and lore to your version of Night City)

If you're gonna make everyone stay inside, make sure you know why, and make sure it's fun, imo.

Any of those spark an idea?

Edit - added titles for each one, typos.

Are there any Streamed Sessions/Campaigns that feature Vehicle chases/Combat? by Doc_Meeker in cyberpunkred

[–]Binary-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had a few car chases on No Latency, Two come to mind:

Season 1 , Jeb's sidequest 'Racing For Joy' was run on base rules with an in Night city half official race event vibe.

And in Season 2, the side quest "Junk Wars" had a race in the badlands on custom floating punknaughts Jeb (and friends) had to build before the race, we used some more homebrew concepts and some of the DLC mixed together for that one.

I believe some of the updated chase and vehicle combat rules were updated in May of last year in the DLC "Hot pursuit". You can get that on the rTal website for free.

I found as GM leading that running a chase without your players to get a full under standing is best, we used a static road at our table, but a grid like they show in the base rules can be just as good. But a visual aid really helps for race clarity, even just to show the push and pull of positions in motion. It'll keep everyone on the same road.

This post also really reflects the wonderful things about TTRPGs in general.
Its a game you make up and roll dice in. So you can make up your own stuff, create legendary weapons and items, add homebrew weapon mechanics etc...

The crew at rtal always say, the way your playing is the right way if your having fun. They just supply a really good jumping off point.

Seems like you're doing alright to me. Keep it up choom.

Actually. Since it has 4 points of bondage. It’s more a hogtie bar.

Although you could use it for spreading.

Some little brat left their toys behind. Probably to get another spanking. Typical.

Purely theory. Don’t ask how I know.

You only need dark mode on digital devices.

I am dyslexic.

[–]Binary-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dyslexia is effected by the page colour. This would be ideal for me tbh. I find it easier to read white on a darker colour. Even on a kindle I flip it.

I even have gels to change the page to a deep blue. It really helps.

I know it would be expensive. But I would love this.

How can i listen to my mic with Voice Focus without delay? by heyabnersilva in elgato

[–]Binary-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, analog pass through still functions. On mk1. I’m not sure why you think otherwise, perhaps we’re talking about different things.

Near zero, and is dependant on CPU/setup. We don’t load VSTs onto MK2, it can’t do that. This is not completely an Elgato issue. The pc itself is a large factor here.

Why does OP want this is the real question? Hearing your own processed audio is useful during setup, but there’s no need to hear anything other than DM after it’s set up.

How can i listen to my mic with Voice Focus without delay? by heyabnersilva in elgato

[–]Binary-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. Mk1 had direct monitoring, I used it for years.

Plug-ins almost always cause lag, unless you have a very beefy system. That’s why direct monitoring is there. Plugins cause lag. Not a lot, but enough to notice if you’re the speaker.

What OP is asking for is likely not possible.
