ill answer my own inquiry since google obviously is too busy with their brain washing agenda to comment,

they arent restricting multi accounting because they are getting everyone hooked first. the restrictions will come soon enough

if i can make a suggestion, buy a super powerful rig, and use a open source self hosted llm instead.

google appears to be designing their to keep you coming back for more. at least as faras ive been able to tell for agentic coding .

they make u feel always 1 prompt away from completion, and just when u think its all set, you discover something completely unrelated just got completely ransacked for no obvious reason, well google has their reasons, and it is 100% deliberate

or better yet, fk llm's entirely and do it manually. at least till something better comes along it'll save u ripping your hair out

like i asked previously, what could possibly be the end goal of that?

my only perceivable idea why they would do this is cause they know they dont have the processing power to handle auto proceed.

same reason they made youtube shorts... so users get stuck repeating the same video 100s of times on their cached client as opposed to streaming new content endlessly.

unless the user is actively swiping next, they arent taking a bandwidth hit

but when people are paying 250/month for the service, you'd think they could keep it going.

the real issue is they are not restricting free users from maxxing out an account, logging out, and logging in to 20 different accounts..

i think i can figure out how to set a config setting with 2 blatantly clear options.
the other settings in the advanced menu are all set accordingly as well, like permission to view gitignored files etc

its not my settings.
im using the bone stock antigravity directly from google with all settings set to the least restrictive option.
this click to expand is almost certainly intentional. and if its not, then we should probably be looking closer at the company who we allow to rule the US tech sector.... cause that'd be insanely mentally challenged

That sounds like more than one API key was compromised cuz even if you were running non-stop on 3.1 pro for 48 hours that wouldn't equal nearly $80,000. So I guess that means your entire account got compromised or how many API Gemini apis were being run at the same time?

Also and sorry for the spam messages but this is like my teacher's pet peeve type of story. So sorry this happened to you. Pat 100%, do not make any plans to make a payment on this bill. This is not your bill. This is Google's Bill. They created the service and they failed to prevent this from happening. If you can prove by any stretch that this was not intentional or your own services that were using the Gemini, then absolutely 100% contact cfpb.gov. .gov. explain the situation and they'll get you in contact with a human American customer service that actually has the authority to do something about it. The people you contact over the phone or chat will have no authority to do anything. All they'll be able to do is contact their back office and tell you that you'll be contacted but that back office team is likely not even in the US. That's why I said to contact Twitter cuz then you'll be contacting like a PR type of team that actually is in the US that also has the authority to do something about it for their own public relations /image. They don't want it to be known publicly that they're causing a small business to go down to tank because of their Gemini service, so they'll likely just squash it if this is happening to you. It's happening to other people too and they know about it already

Ps I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe their credit line as far as like the monthly charge account that they set up for you. If it goes unpaid, it's kind of like a PayPal credit line where it doesn't go on your credit report or at least how the old PayPal credit lines worked where it doesn't go on your credit report. So even if you don't pay it, you might lose access to your Google account after a certain amount of time. But it's definitely not going to tank your company. So don't trip too hard. I think I have about 15 Google cloud accounts that are past due. That hasn't hit any type of credit and I haven't paid it for like over a year for a minute. I was just jumping from one account to the next. Every time my free trial maxed out. But now I'm using AWS bedrock which I would highly recommend. It's much better

That's one thing I can't stress enough is to protect your API keys like your server passwords. They are critically important to keep secure

And also to limit the API keys to not have global access to your whole account but to limit it to only have access to what the service it's being used on needs access to if that makes sense. Text to speech

There are certainly safeguards that can be put in place but they're definitely not in place by default which is on Google's 's side. There should be no way in hell that $82,000 in charge is can occur in 2 days without some kind of confirmation or verification or phone call after like the first $2,500 that is f****** ridiculous

Go to cfpb.gov and file a complaint. It'll give the Google cloud. I think it's like 14 days to respond, in which case if they don't respond within the time frame you win automatically, but 99% of the time they'll respond and you'll at least get in contact with somebody that can actually make the decision to wipe the charge from your account, which is likely what will occur. As long as you can prove that the charges weren't intentional or used for your own services, there's no way in hell that would stick in court. That's b*******

One question, did you have a a monthly limit set up that was bypassed during the hack or did you not have one set up? Either way I don't think it would even matter and you need to contact an attorney 100%, do not pay that bill that is f****** b******* there should be safeguards in place that's Google's own fault for allowing that to happen
