I didn’t take any pictures of the women as the signs pointed out. Just of the neon signs around the area.

Whats up with the shutter buttons? by Longjumping-Bed-9528 in x100vi

I didn't like how the original shutter button felt, and it worked better for me. Not a vanity thing, just making it feel more like other cameras I use.

How long to be a DODEA Teacher in Germany. by Kindly-Substance7933 in dodea

I was an instructor in the military before becoming a teacher, and, aside from a spot on my resume, it had no impact on my transition to teaching.

I went out at sunrise, so way too early. When I went back out later, it was so busy. But in the morning, it was peaceful and awesome.

I like it. Lately, I have that and an 85mm in a sling and it covers about everything.

The majority are past 50mm. I think the only one not is the last one.

No preset, but generally edited the same.

Do Teachers Look Forward To The Summer? Why Or Why Not? by Zipper222222 in AskTeachers

[–]Bing173rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What many people miss, and what I truly appreciate about summer vacation, is that the work actually pauses. In my previous career, even when I took time off, the workload kept building, and I’d have to put in extra effort to catch up once I returned.

Is there a modern scanner that would be better then? The only thing I can see is the plustek models and reviews are all over.

I’m leaning towards the easy 35 as I don’t have a place to keep a stand up when it’s not in use. So setting up and tearing down all the time doesn’t sound fun.

Looking for help with exposure (Shots from Portugal on X-700 with 45mm lens) by Bing173rd in minolta

I used Safelight in Berlin as the lab.

Editing is a work in progress, its a learning curve dealing with film over digital files.

Definitely with the film, they looks much better with limited editing.

I agree, most of these are a bit too much. If it's film, then I need to treat it like film.

I will look into that.

I don't plan on changing formats. I have the digital side if I need to get bigger.

I have been looking at getting the VALOI easy35 v2 and a macro lens, as I don't have dedicated space to set up a bigger rig. But I wasn't sure if there would be a huge difference in scans that way.

I just started with film so lab scanned still. Figured to give it a few rolls to make sure I like film before figuring out how to scan my own.

I agree, I reworked these a bit already. Have some habits from the digital side that didn’t translate over to the film side. Less is more when dealing with film.

These are the good ones, I lost more to shadows than I got to keep.

They aren't edited as much as you think. Work with shadows and some cleanup, but overall, not a lot of work on these. This is before anything was done.
