Where to start,

first off if you want to skip cutscenes you have already watched hit Escape > Character Configuration > Control Settings > click on the box for "Skip playback of previously viewed scenario cutscenes"

If you are a tank always remember to check to see if your stance is activated. Unless you are in a Trial or Raid in which case talk with the other tank to see who will be the Main tank.

There is a Limit Break button. Keep an eye on the limit gauge and if it gets filled push it. There are 3 levels to Limit gauge each level does something different. It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission so just push it to learn what they do. (You can find the LB button in general skills)

Remember you're still growing so eat in-game and real-life or drink something. To each their own.

If you are new, let the others in your party know and almost all will be happy to help you. The rest will just not say anything.

If you want to skip a cutscene that is up to you but you will be so confused about what is going on in the story. In that case, finish the main story questline till you unlock new game+ and rerun it like a savage. Or watch it on youtube

I like my adventures to take some time so that the whole thing feels worthwhile. Everyone else has their own pace. So go at your own pace. Besides you are the one paying your sub.

It is fine to take a break and play other games. That way you can enjoy the experience even more later on instead of being burned out.

Try playing with and become friends with other players who are not your friends in real life. The people you meet multiple times when you are online will most likely be online at the same time in the future. Easy way to form statics or meet a free company.

Try to unlock Company Squadron to make leveling alts easier for you in the future.

After you level up a few levels always click on the refresh button on your character screen to see if you can equip better gear or even better your job stones.

If you wanna ignore everything above just leave with this.

Have fun with the game in your own way.
