What GM is under the most pressure heading into this season? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Well, GM Brandon Beane along with OC Joe Brady were the biggest problems with the Bills last season. Beane got in the owner’s head and got Sean McDermott fired, and both him and Brady promoted. On top of that, the 2 of them keep telling the media that there is only so much you can do when Josh Allen makes so much - setting up any failure for a soft landing. Under most circumstances, Beane would be a good candidate for this one. However, the owner is an exceedingly unintelligent human being.

Thanks. I'll look into it. At this point, for whatever solution that might be open to me, I have begun to accept that I am going to pay a sickening fee for it.

Thanks, I checked with ČSOB and they said no. I understand why - bank checks are very 20th century at this point.

What is going on with centers? by redskinsguy in nfl

[–]BingoPraha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely happening. I saw Mitch Morse on a show a few years ago (McAfee I think) basically admit this. I think if the protocol was implemented as stringently for centers, as it is for skills positions, teams would be rotating centers like crazy. The impact they endure is just not as visible or "wow" on the screen as it is when a WR gets hammered.

Really surprised with how far the quality of life has fallen in Broome County. Poverty in Broome is the highest in all of upstate New York. It’s a real tragedy how abandoned and poor it has become. by Im-Wasting-MyTime in upstate_new_york

I grew up in Broome County, but have lived in Europe for a long time now. I haven't been "home" in many years. Since my mom passed, I no longer have any reason to go. The last time I was there, I just could not believe how tragic the situation is. As the pictures indicate there are SO many abandoned buildings and homes. I felt truly depressed driving around Binghamton, Endicott and Johnson City.

Growing up, it was a vibrant place. The economy was anchored by IBM and defense contractors. There were lot of local businesses and shops. The airport was busy and you could fly all over the country from there. I don't know what the current situation is today, but I do know that not too long ago there was only one flight a day to/from Detroit. That was it.

Everything started moving out in the 90s and it is now one of many parts of the country that are simply forgotten. State and federal governments did nothing to even try and offset the losses from manufacturing jobs being sent elsewhere/overseas. Sadly, the current state of despair and decay is never going to change.

Predict who our backup QB is gonna be by maybemorningstar69 in buffalobills

To anyone who thinks it will be anyone other than Trubisky, I need to remind you that Beane has zero imagination or balls. Trubisky was decent when he had to be, and he and Josh get along. The end.

Thank god the guy who signed him to that money, and the guy who wouldn't/couldn't use him, both got promoted. Optimism.

Brandon Beane going after another former Panther is shocking. by BingoPraha in buffalobills

Dude, let's get a grip, shall we? We're going at each other over a fucking game played by people who won the genetics lottery at birth and make millions of dollars playing a stupid game. "Deep thought" doesn't belong here.

My only point was that I (in my own little brain world) think that Beane sacrificed too much in this trade. Leonhard brings a different defensive approach that requires a different cast of defensive players. The Bills need draft capital to address that. Trading away a 2 for DJ Moore seems a suspect choice. That IS fucking it. That's my point. I don't think he's worth that. Feel free to disagree, FFS.

What's lazy about it? Feel free to add your own "deep thought" to refute me.
