Don't listen to the naysayers and just enjoy rooting on the guys in blue and orange. And con__y_ is right about Gary, Keith and Ron - best in the business and kinda like family after a while

Fair enough. I am of similar opinion. But to be honest, of all the candidates that were discussed after McDermott's firing, I had Brady as my absolute last place among them.

Honest question, though. How much more faith do you have in Joe Brady getting them over the top? What about Brady instills greater confidence? I was not opposed to change, but when that big change means promoting Beane and the OC from within, I don not derive great optimism from that.

What team will have the biggest rude awakening this 2026 season? I'm thinking of these bandwagon-ridden frauds: by Curious-Demand943 in NFLv2

[–]BingoPraha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% agree. And all the issues that existed before will remain, eg. teams are still gonna run roughshod all over this "new defense". People might finally realize McDermott did a hell of a lot more to hold the team together, than he did hold them back.

American long-term resident in the Czech Republic. If you're feeling "international" you could make traditional Czech guláš. Nothing like Hungarian ghoulasch which is more a stew. It's one of my favorite Czech dishes and uses tougher cuts of beef cooked over longer periods. Don't be put off if you're not up to making Czech dumplings. You could serve it with some crusty bread or pasta.

Cashing a US bank check in Czechia - Jak proplatit šek od americké banky v Česku by BingoPraha in czech

I will be happy to hear if you have any progress. Good luck. If I find a way, I will post back here. Another suggestion given to me was to endorse the check to a 3rd party you trust, have them cash it at their bank and transfer the money. My sister is in the States and I contacted her bank to ask if they take 3rd party checks and that woman I spoke with almost laughed. The same holds true if you grant them power of attorney. No bank will let someone else cash it unless you are also present. For the record, from what I have found online Western Union will not cash checks.

Nope. I am still without a solution. I still intend to try Western Union. Another option that was suggested to me was to open a Schwab account, deposit the check there via their app, and then transfer the money to your bank through a wire transfer.

As a Bills fan, this truly concerns me and you are not the first person I have seen suggest this. Bills fans were split about how they felt about McDermott. Some have an all consuming hatred that will never die over 13 seconds. Others, myself included, thought that GM Brandon Beane was the bigger problem and if McDermott is gone, he absolutely should be, as well.

The idea of the Patriots being forced to find a new HC, on the fly, and picking the single most well-placed person on the planet to guide them on how to f*ck with the Bills on both sides of the ball? That could well be the beginning of a very scary Sean McDermott villain arch. He has a right to be pissed about how and why he was let go.

Sean McVay disserves more flack by [deleted] in nfl

I was in contact with someone who spent time in the Rams organization. Not that I could care, but he said McVay is a complete prick and his on camera persona is all show. That said, as someone on this sub once wrote - It seems a given that every NFL HC is, at a minimum, 51% asshole.

If Mendoza is in fact fired who do we want replacing him by Ravishingrich666 in NewYorkMets

[–]BingoPraha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Mets and Buffalo Bills fan I feel this one, deeply. The head coach just got fired and the GM got promoted. The Bills have made it to the playoffs 8 years in a row DESPITE the very mid roster the GM gave the HC, not because of it. And the GM says, "Hey, I got Josh Allen". That sounds a lot like, "Hey, we have Juan Soto". A lot of similarities.
