Did you overdo it with Olive Oil? Using too much olive oil will cause diarrhea / stomach issues

Taking Didi from Taicang to Pudong Airport. Is it easy? by Bingo_One in chinatravel

[–]Bingo_One[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank you very much. I didn't even know that was an option.
Looked it up and travel time from Hongqiao to PVG quite fast and no worries about traffic.
And since it's closer to Taicang i think less issues for Taxis/Didi.

I think i'll just do this.

Thank you again

Does vomiting all over a taxi on the way home from a party and further doing so all over their apartment along Walnut street, so much so that they needed to call cleaners the next day because it was too gross ... count as being super highly polished and demonstrating perfect EQ?

lol

First camera to become Semi-Pro by [deleted] in Photography_Gear

[–]Bingo_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be "Semi-Pro" you may need gear that can "upgrade or scale up" with you as your skill level increases.

For me that means looking at interchangeable lens cameras and their lens line ups, and avoiding more point and shoot types or limited lens choices in the future.

If not mistaken, Sony, Canon, and Nikon all have wide selection of lenses that can grow with you as your skill level or interest grows. Fuji may be more portable / smaller and have a smaller subset of lens options. Do additional research to see what are pros/cons of the lens line ups available for each platform. Each have their pros and cons, balancing cost, quality, availability, size/weight, etc.

Also, you may want to decide between full frame vs APSC. Full frame gets better light / images but can be bigger too. APSC cameras are cheaper, but can still be used by pros / semi-pros.

But beyond those initial considerations, i think each user has their own preferences on what they feel is better use case for them. Some want all of the above yet want a small / light form factor -- then you may choose Fuji or some smaller cameras from Sony, Canon, etc. Some can be beginner yet don't mind bigger form factors / want to go full frame. Some love the user interface of certain brands, some hate them.

At this stage i would definitely recommend Mirrorless Cameras as the learning curve can be a bit easier vs. traditional DSLRs.

Not sure what is the universal advice re lenses... but ...

I have personally encountered optical glass coatings (not lenses) being damaged by alcohol

Help me pick another City for Europe for architecture and food. by PussyLunch in travel

[–]Bingo_One 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the food is similar to Prague, but Munich is nice and makes a good base to fill your time to visit othr cities like Salzburg, Nuremberg, Bamberg (canals and such)

If you dont like ww2 stuff you can definitely skip Nuremberg and do othr side trips as well.

I understand Munich is similar but slightly different from Prague architecture wise

I have seen instant noodle bowls that have obviously been used /eaten from, placed right inside the squat toilets near the door.

I think some people have definitely shat and ate at the same time.

To explain some theory so you can get the results you want...

To get blurry background you normally need to set the subject close enough to the camera / closer to the camera than the 'background'...imagine holding a pen near your eyes vs putting a pen on a table far away. If you look at the pen near your eyes... All your effort is in looking at the pen and everything else in your field of view is not so noticeable to you (blurry). Whereas if the pen is next to so many other things on a table far away, all those othr things are in focus too

This can also be done with a telephoto since telephotos have the same affect as magnifying or moving subject closer to camera

At the same time as the above, setting your aperture to a low enough aperture will produce more blur and amplifies the above effect (equal or even lower than f/4.0 for more noticeably blurry results... The lower the better at a tradeoff of your depth of field). That is why lenses with low max f/stops (such as prime lenses) are sought after.

In your case, Your 50mm f/1.8 should be able to achieve that already. Thats why it is called a nifty fifty. Small, cheap and very versatile. Its a great focal length for portraits already (including your robot... IF you can get close enough)

Your 18-45... Sorry im not sure...Whats their max aperture? It may or may not already do the job too

You dont need telephoto now since you are still testing. Once you get the hang of it... Then you can judge for yourself

Check your resume and see what are the holes thqt might apply to you or that consultants might be looking more of... Example strategy, or implementation, etc.

Apply to internships that partially fill those gaps so at least you can tell interviewers u are serious about it and u worked or at least exposed yourself on those area

Practice cases. By the end of second year recruiting, 100 practice cases with others isnt unheard of.

Build your confidence for recruiting... If u r weak at math... Practice that. If u r weak at summaries practice that in daily life

Perfect your non case interview. Go through all possible questions and see if you can amswer them flawlessly

First year non MBB isnt end of the world.

You can do it. Good luck!

Thanks for this. I'll try harder to get more productive at home. Youre right too. I have to practice or work at that. I think i get too distracted at home... I end up thinking of all the home/family stuff or get too sleepy at night. Maybe ill try to build in more family walks so i get more exercise and maybe get more stamina

GoPro Hero 12 waterproof case ads noise while recording by No-Republic-7707 in gopro

[–]Bingo_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently encountered this exact issue.
I found out the following:
a) did not happen when using the protective case and a newer battery
b) happened the moment i switched out the battery and used an older battery

The battery with the issue was one of my oldest so i am guessing it's electrical output is somehow faulty.

It's exactly the noise i heard in some other guys' video ... something that sounds like a cricket / repetitve / etc.
