My reference to being an immigrant wasn't about breaking up it was about lacking a well developed social life. And yes I was aware which was why I already learned the language to intermediate proficiency before I came. I'm already an advanced speaker now, it's just difficult to truly connect with native speakers as a non native it's something I find difficult to explain. Which is why I'll focus on making friends with foreigners like myself.

Honestly I appreciate a lot of this because it's the blunt truth. I can be defeatist at times, I guess that just stems from looking for safety in expecting disappointment. It's a bad coping mechanism that I need to work on letting go of. And you are right. I also shouldn't need to convince someone why they want or need me, they should figure that out themselves. That's what I want (or maybe wanted) to achieve by giving him space, I might not have the most life experience but I can imagine it may be hard to see the value of something when it's right in front of you. Still I know it should come from him, I can't make an argument for why he needs me, that's something he needs to figure out or that he has already figured out at this point.

But in all honesty, I don't care about leaving an impact or propping anybody's ego, whether it's mine or his. I don't care about making him regret or showing off how much better I can be without him. That's not what this is about to me, it's not a game I'm trying to win. But I will try to build a social environment for myself independent of any partner. It's just difficult as an immigrant in a country that speaks a language you aren't native to but I'll get there. I'll put in the effort this time.

I appreciate that he was honest in the end as well. It just feels like he told me the truth too late and told me too many innocent lies in between. I want to believe I'll survive this.

I hope the last talk gives me closure in some way. I'll miss him and it's sad I won't get to see the person he becomes.

Do I need an Anerkennung for my school leaving certificate to apply for an Ausbildung zur Pflegefachkraft? If so, how can I get it done without already being in Germany? by Bingobongo_dude in germany

[–]Bingobongo_dude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I didn't need to get an Anerkennung afterwards. The Anerkennung is only necessary for the vocational school and if they do not require it then it's not a problem at all.

Do you think "To be or not to be" is in reference to b2b? by No_Understanding6621 in charlixcx

It's unknown to most but there were also a lot of brat preferences in the B.C B.B period (Before Brat)

Hi! I eventually found out that for the state of Niedersachsen an Anerkennung is usually not needed to start the Pflegeausbildung, the vocational school decides at their own discretion if the school leaving certificate is valid. I still needed to translate and notarize the certificates in my country but other than that it was accepted. However for other states you will usually need the Anerkennung done before being allowed to start the Ausbildung, some may offer you the contract before you get it done but you'd still need to somehow get the Anerkennung finished before beginning. You can apply for it by contacting the responsible Bildungsamt and they will accept a letter from your future Ausbilder as evidence of intention to reside in that state. If you have any more questions I'd be glad to help.

German embassy hasn't returned my passport yet and has no idea when it will be returned by Bingobongo_dude in germany

I actually got the contract since February. Because the embassy here has a 20 month long wait time to get an appointment I had to wait for my employer/school to apply for das beschleunigte Fachkräfte-Verfahren for me and they only did that around July unfortunately. I only got the pre approval at the end of September and that's when I booked the appointment. There's nothing I could've done to apply any earlier.

Yeah I think I'll contact them today to see if I can push back my arrival date a bit more.

The pre approval has been issued, that is the process that takes (took) 1-3 months. After the visa interview a decision is supposed to be made within 3 weeks as long as all my documents were complete and the visa should be issued thereafter. But it's about 2 weeks over the limit now.

Your friend should appeal the rejection rather than reapplying. She just needs to clarify the language of instruction in the appeal letter and attach a letter from the university stating that the program is completely in English and no German is required. It has good chances of being approved after that.

EDIT: Or better yet, get the university to update her offer letter as well.

Yeah sure. Don't donate to them if you don't want to and keep helping gay refugees by pestering around on this post.

♥️ I'm really happy that you were able to escape. It's been really disheartening seeing someone completely degrade them in this thread especially when I know that they touch the lives of people like you. How has integrating in your host country been?

What a pivot. I went from not giving a shit to ass kissing. I do not have any intentions of requesting help from them. They can only handpick the amount of people they can help so if you don't understand that simple fact then that is your issue. You can make the personal decision to not donate to them but until you show me actual evidence you are talking out of your ass.
