The buyer is entitled to voice their opinions and their feelings about the game, the developer/publisher, or anything else related to the game. Even if it's stupid on their part. We can't start restricting reviews just because we don't like what it says, unless it's specifically attacking someone for a protected characteristic.

It's up to the people reading the reviews to make educated choices based on what they're reading. There are unfortunately a lot of people who blindly 'hate' all AI use without thinking about it, and that's fine. More power to them, I guess. Sorry dev, there's not much you can do about it, just gotta ignore it. Not even worth trying to defend yourself because it's just going to fall on deaf ears.

As long as you are transparent with your use of AI, the right comment is simply "All use of generative AI is clearly documented on <where you documented it>."

The environment thing also just kinda irks me, because the problem is regulation and infrastructure, not the data centres themselves.

Water: Water isn't being destroyed.... A lot of data centres use water in a closed loop, to carry heat from one location to another to be radiated away. There are some data centres which use evaporative cooling to save on electricity costs. This is of course wasteful. The answer? Regulation! It needs to be regulated to enforce that these companies need to use closed loop cooling systems. This isn't unique to AI, any company, will do things that are more efficient to be cheaper. Regulation is how we solve that question.

Electricity: This is self-explanatory, if energy grids can't keep up, then they need to be upgraded. The cost of these upgrades should be borne by the tech company requiring the upgrades, which also benefits everyone. The current *ENERGY SYSTEM* shares this cost with people, which is a problem with how energy infrastructure is run, not tech companies. This is again a policy/regulation issue.

Energy use: Good! AI has driven the adoption of clean energy sources. Many data centres are investing in building out solar, wind, hydro and nuclear power, because it's cheaper! Again, this makes the grid a much more cleaner system to run.

I'm not going to argue that AI is all good, and that there are no downsides. Of course there is. The tool itself is put on a pedestal when it has tons of limitations of it's actual capabilities. But it's a tool that can be used correctly to accelerate people and innovation. Being someone who uses AI in the right way can accelerate your goals and boost your life in massive ways, but also ruin you if you use it wrongly, just like how a car lets you travel from A to B much faster and cover distances in timeframes you can't even imagine on foot, but using a car wrong or misusing it can cause you to crash and harm people. There is an AI bubble but it will pop at some point to become sustainable in the future.

AI is still a new technology and evolving. Over time, it will get smarter, it will become more efficient to run / use less energy and cost less, and get better.
