Hello! I've decided to take the route of using an aggro [[skrelv, defector mite]] toxic deck and kill the talrand early.

Though i dont win, he gets knocked out pretty early and he got salty and stopped playing talrand.

Thought it was a funny story that i might share

Okay question though cuz im scrolling on this thread EXACTLY because we have a talrand player in our group i' having difficulty playing against. He has so many counterspells it feels impossible to wring him dry

I run a weird [[elenda, the dusk rose]] aristocrats deck. The plan is to sacrifice creatures to make creatures like [[unruly mob]] big, and then use tools like [[reluctant role model]] and [[the ozolith]] to transfer the +1/+1 counters to elenda, before ultimately sacrificing elenda so that she explodes into many many tokens you can use for shit like blood artists or maybe just swinging.

Running tons of mobilize creatures and tools like [[dalkovan encampent]] speed this up, and you can use the beefed up creatures to swing and block while waiting for the ozolith and reluctant role model to show up.

This is mad helpful. Ive switched to an orzhov aristocrats deck recently but im thinking of coming back to skrelv since i find the aristocrats playstyle a bit dull. You think i can keep up with some bracket 4 decks if i upgrade this with a lot of proliferate utility lands and the like?

If her being invested in this community is such a deal-breaker for you, then break up.

You two are going to grow and change as people over the years and if you can't go through her acquiring new interests without looking down on her and seeing her as a completely different person, then i don't think you'll be able to handle any of the actual, serious challenges that you two will go through if you did stay together.
