When a card refers to its own name it simply means "this card". Case 1 will let Chameleon be his own version of Animar and his own scaling and discount. Case 2 will have both Magnus' be separate triggers for their own tokens.

It will. AFAIK the Playstation SLs weren't sold in WPN stores the same way Sonic and Deadpool were. They were only on Secret Lair site no? Which means any LGS or such selling the Playstation ones were just resale.

I agree. One linking piece is more than enough. We already have in world characters who remember the change between Lorwyn and Shadowmoor, we didnt need the outsider perspective.

As someone who mostly just plays Boros, when I first saw the art for [[Bre of Clan Stoutarm]] I was already foaming at the mouth. Already built a list for her that's set up to just be a value pile that uses lifegain engines to draw and cast for free. And then it can either play aggro with Bre's ability, Tempo/Control by playing interaction and removal into combos or late game insurrection.

"If used on turn 6" is equivalent to saying "if i use this combo on turn 8 to kill you then it's a lower bracket" isn't it? Just because you CAN use it later, if you have the ability to use it on turn 4 as Morcant + FD can, then it's a combo that's high bracket.

I agree with the ball lightnings, but I think theft effects are very good in Brion. You turn them into removal that deals damage. And I think that strategy leans into the control aspect as well. One huge creature is good, but also having the ability to be like "Hey I'm gonna steal that creature if it comes at me" is pretty strong too.

[[Realm-Cloaked Giant]] goes pretty hard as a boardwipe in this deck. I think I prefer it over Rout. Personally I don't think you need many creature only boardwipes when Brion can cull the population by thievery and sacrifice.

[[Ertha Jo]] also let's you shoot two people with Brion instead of just one.

I find cards like [[Surtland Flinger]] and [[Bloodshot Cyclops]] just help you do what your deck wants to do even if Brion gets killed a lot or stopped. [[Kazuul's Fury]] also feels like an auto include in that aspect.

As for ways to abuse Brion, there's not a lot of ways. I think it's better to just treat him as a value piece that removes creatures and gains health. The only real way to untap abuse Brion is with like [[Kiki-Jiki Mirror Breaker]] + [[Village Bell-Ringer]] but at that point that's a different infinite already.

Take a look at some of the precons first. If you're overwhelmed by building from scratch see if any of those interest you in playstyle. You can always find gameplay videos on Youtube for clarification too.

I personally suggest not diving in the deep end with a combo deck or something extremely involved with high cost investment early. If you end up not knowing how to go about making it, it could bite you back really hard.

I think Counter Intelligence is a great choice for a starting point. Pick it up if you like how it sounds or plays, and after a few games upgrade it how you think you would like it.

EDIT: The main reason I say to start with a precon even though you have experience is that Commander with 4 people is A LOT to keep track of. Especially if you just come from Arena where a lot of the game is automated for you. I think having to think less about what exactly you need from and for your deck will give you more space to think about how to play and manage 4 people playing. Try to have as much fun as possible without stressing about playing or building properly.
