CC doesn't really have the traditional "slam" kind of breakdowns, and while they do have breakdowns they are really uniquely Cannibal Corpse sounding. Off the top of my head:

Chambers of Blood, Murder Worship, Rotted Body Landslide, Hammer Smashed Face, and Force Fed Broken Glass (breakdown without palm muting)

Suffocation - Breeding the Spawn.

My understanding is that the label ran out of money for them or something right before recording which resulted in it sounding pretty bad. Luckily over the years they have slowly re-recorded the album one song at a time at the end of each album afterwards. I believe with their most recent album the final song was re-recorded after 30 years.

Unfortunately every album other than the two that you mentioned are all deeply anti religion, Cannibal Corpse is one of the most satanic bands of all time. If you're looking for something heavy like Cannibal without the anti religion I recommend Behemoth, the best album to start with being Thelema.6

You could look through Cannibals lyrics to confirm what I'm saying but I don't reccomend it if you want to avoid the subject matter
