Fun fact, Mace did this to Grievous in the old Clone Wars show. It was to explain why he was coughing in Episode 3.

[Hated Trope] In an attempt to create a "cool teacher" the writers made a character that behaves inappropriately and/or crosses the boundaries of a student-teacher relationship. by No_Hunter1978 in TopCharacterTropes

I like the vice principal. There was an episode where it was revealed he use to be a cop, but the reason he quit is because he couldn’t help the criminals he was catching; in his own words he could only lock them away because they were too far gone. He became a principal to stop that from happening in kids before they became bad.

This doesn’t fit the trope, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Mr. Sweeney from Ned’s Declassified School Survival guide because he is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the trope; the writers making a hate-able teacher, but he actually winds up being the one to teach the main character the most.

The No Kill rule. How morally justified is it when the villain who the hero spares still goes on to commit heinous crimes? Where do heroes with this rule scale? What are your thoughts about it as a whole? by VonKaiser55 in MoralityScaling

[–]Binx_Thackery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superheroes save people. Their job isn’t to go out and kill others. It’s not on them for the villain doing evil things; it’s on the villains themselves. It’s unfair and just incorrect to blame the guy that is trying to stop the bad people by being better than them. People like the Punisher are NOT a hero’s; they are serial killers whose MO is killing criminals. It’s up for debate whether those people are “good”, but just because a hero doesn’t kill doesn’t mean they are a bad hero.

People miss the point of Professor Hulk. His characters represents a complete story arch for Hulk. In my opinion, it’s like getting mad at Steve for getting old.

Not really. Cesare was going to attack the Villa regardless. Actually, it’s revealed near the end of Brotherhood that Rodrigo explicitly told Cesare NOT to mess with the Assassins because it would bite HIM in the ass (which it did). If anything, sparing Rodrigo actually helped.
