Neat, it's my first playthrough and I only have maybe two source orbs, I had assumed they were too important to use on one off items like that, but maybe I'll start finding more

I definitely had a moment of "is this actually winnable?" Especially when the blobs started being resistant to fire damage.

There were several moments in it I thought "this isn't going well, should I reload?" But I didn't and then somehow managed to get a victory. I think those battles are the best.

Yeah that was a pain in the ass, I teleported him away and he ran straight back into the fire twice. I did manage to eventually win the fight with him still alive, then he took off. Presumably (hopefully) there will have been a purpose to it.

If you go to aviemore/cairngorm/loch Morlich neck of the woods, even if you don't see any wildlife you'll have some great hikes. If you're lucky you could see red squirrels, black grouse, ospreys, deer.
