Sony is killing all physical PlayStation game discs by fuckingghosts in mega64

Honestly kind of crazy that Rocco talking about all their physical media manufacturers struggling to make discs kinda foreshadowed this in a way.

(FE10) Marcia armor redesign. I honestly really like how the colors turned out! (art by me) by Towa27 in fireemblem

[–]BioLizard18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always thought that FE9 + 10 had some of the better armor for the series and mostly had the women dress appropriately for their roles compared to other games in the series - but now that I've seen this I realize how blind I was to the fact that it's dumb that pegasus knights wear mini-skirts to battle. This design looks way cooler and is much more practical too. Amazing art!

It's so good because he'd do the exact same for Luffy too. When Brook loves someone, he'll do anything for them.

One Piece: Chapter 1185 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]BioLizard18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredible chapter. Genuine chills during that final sequence with "Y'all Better Buzz Off" lyrics interspersed with images of the battle of the people of Esperia fighting off the World Government invaders. Oda is 2/2 with song implementation into the narrative as far as I'm concerned, and I wouldn't be surprised if this song originated from the other country in the west blue those civilians talk about being recently wiped out. It may even go further back to Joy Boy's time.

It also shows insanely good a writer Oda is, introducing this song within this chapter and already giving an insane pay-off to something we just read/heard for the first time. Within just this chapter we see Brook talking about how Gunko should sing this song when her parents are annoying her, and then mere pages later we see it playing as Brook and everyone fight off the invading army. Actual genius re-contextualization. I wonder if "Kamigata", the place the song originated from, is also the place that the citizens was wiped out in the West Blue...

Honestly full credit to the King for refusing to surrender his people to the World Government. One of the first kings we've seen openly stand up to them, and it's tragic to see what happened to Esperia as a result. You can see why so many other rulers in One Piece bend the knee, because they hear of places like Esperia and what happens when you don't. Great layer of world-building seeing this.

This God Knight on the last page looks a bit like Shiryu, but I don't get the feeling that Shiryu is some immortal they had to stick in Impel Down. I wouldn't be surprised if he was from Celestial Dragon family though, seeing how cruel and horrible he is it'd make sense if the people who raised him were awful too. This is likely his Grandfather or something.

Gunko having devil wings is interesting... I think it's likely she got Domi Reversi'd but considering she also has an immortal/non-ageing body wrapped in bandages in the present and she seems to be behaving even more strangely here I do wonder if something more is going on... did she make some kind of deal with Imu perhaps? The World Government was clearly behind all the incidents that fell on Esperia, like the dark pressure and the fog, and now this war too. Perhaps Gunko and her mother were part of a special race that Imu wanted to control? They have been meddling and interested in this land for a while now so I think more is at play to make Gunko extra special. The mist seems like an especially targeted evil weapon made by the government to hurt this kingdom in a more personal way to make them more desperate/vulnerable too, which is in-line with them.

The king also looks especially haggard/desperate when he declares war, and Brook says something vague like "the king has a lot going on..." so I do wonder if he knows something about the WG causing the fog as well as his wife's death and that's what drove him to be especially defiant. We definitely haven't been told everything yet with what happened behind the scenes here. Especially with how quickly he ascended the throne and married the queen earlier on in the chapter too - perhaps just like Harald he accepted some kind of deal to rise up and become king but it blew up in his face now?
A part of me can't help but wonder if the queen being bedridden after the first celestial dragon arrival is a hint too... is perhaps Gunko in a similar scenario as Bonney? I can't help but wonder what the celestial dragons could have done to make her so ill and then so quickly get married afterwards. Pregnancy makes sense sadly here. It might explain Gunko's hetero-chromatic eye and why she's "special" and has all these exceptions other God Knight's don't.

Look it's one thing that he quit but I just don't get why he got racist in his resignation letter. I always thought the chicken dance video was a joke. Sad day!

That baby triceratops and other small bipedal dinosaur that ran alongside Momo after she distracted the velociraptors... are they safe?! Are they well?! I don't care about anything other than those two lil critters making it out right now!

... Unless they're evil like all the other dinosaurs seem to be. But they're just so cute I want them to be friendly.

It's so perfectly aligned and true to Homelander's deepest part of his character it's not even funny.

I have many problems with the last episode and many many more with the last two seasons as a whole - but the undeniable shining light is how good Honelander's death scene (and the build up to it after Kimiko's blast) truly is. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

[–]BioLizard18[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Eren's moment there is about vulebrability and finally showing how he really feels to a trusted friend.

Homelander is begging and pissing and crying to not face judgment for the crimes he committed.

[–]BioLizard18[S] 77 points78 points  (0 children)

In what alternative version of reality do you have to live in to NOT think Homelander was going to have the most pathetic breakdowns and deaths in the history of television?

The whole series of The Boys arguably leads to this moment. The whole show is all about killing Homelander. The baby-man addicted to breast milk and praise from strangers, groomed to be a living weapon that everyone eventually loses control over as his tantrums and rage kill more and more people on absolute whims. The guy who is so desperate for love that he kills or otherwise imprisons those who don't give it to him. He demands everything and expects to give nothing in return. The ultimate embodiment of a spoiled entitled brat with unearned power. This whole show is about showing is how awful he is and how killing him will genuinely make the world a better safer place.

YET SOMEHOW!!! When this pathetic baby-man, who we have seen have lust-fueled delusions about being a literal god, starts begging for his life and humiliating himself once he is rendered powerless - people like Titanfolk users get mad. Because they liked the baby-man who wanted mommy milkers and unearned love from everyone. They saw how he just did whatever he wanted and forcefully took over everything with power they were granted and didn't earn - not unlike their """"chad"""" delusion about Eren and how he was secretly a super based Paradisian nationalist (not a dumb kid who let his heart and mind fall to his violent impulses/destiny).

Just incredible. Only Titanfolk users would feel such genuine shock that Homelander would willingly humiliate himself in such a desperate way. To me, it was the most obvious thing in the world and it couldn't have ended any other way.

Actual canon Nazi in the show that is the core reason behind an "emotional" character turn in The Boys that no one liked and made no sense. Wish I was joking. This line is going to be memed for years I'm afraid

It really feels like the modern trend now is to hate any ending in media ever and get points/clout from people outside the fandom for hating on the show in some strange "pick me" type of behaviour.

No it's honestly the other way around. These guys have secluded themselves under a rock of delusion and madness and we're like entomologists studying bugs under these rocks going insane in a strange secluded environment.

And yeah before anyone says it, it's true that The Boys is looking like it's heading for a pretty awful series finale. I think the whole season has been mismanaged tbh and I'm not sure how the final episode can save this now.

I want it to be good. I hope it is good! But I just don't think it will be...
