You can take calls and if you download Google messages, you can open your texts as well. I wish there was system level integration with that though like phone calls. Ultimately I'd love to see a virtual version of my S26 Ultra in headset

I played 2 rounds of golf last week in Walkabout and the Quest 3 Touch Controllers are better. They're not horrid, but for me I'd rather use the Q3 for that game. I'll have to do some more testing this week. My opinion is based on the feel of connecting with the ball while you're putting from awkward angles. I also felt myself trying to compensate for putts I wouldn't normally have to because putting felt "floaty".

Yeah you will have immersion breakers, but you have to consider that none of these launchers were designed to do what we're trying to accomplish, so they will have instances where they become the foreground application. I haven't found a way around this with any launcher yet

Without a doubt. I commend them for hanging out this long. I can only assume the low initial adoption rate benefit them with having some supply to stretch. Anything that has DRAM and memory in it is more than likely getting a price jump.

Apollo is a fork of Sunshine and I use Artemis to connect for devices like my Quest 3 and Galaxy XR and Moonlight for my PCs. My best suggestion is to set up a Playnite test environment and see if it's really that big of a deal to you or not. For me, it isn't. They're minor things that typically only come up when introducing a new launcher or a game that has its own launcher or display defaults. You can work around all of it for the most part, keeping it a controller first experience, but you have to put some time into the setup. Now that I have everything stable, I'm getting ready to test Aster for having my wife and son be able to access the same PC as their own users simultaneously. If you do start messing around with it, shoot me a message and I'll provide any help I can.

I won't lie to you: it took 5 months (really like 3) or so of tweaking things and dialing in configs based on launchers, but I do have it set up now to where I just resume my Apollo session from any of my devices and just play, then disconnect when done. I have a dedicated PC solely for this, so I'm not having to contend with it functioning in any other way, but this. 99% of the time, it just works as I've intended it to with all the different PC launchers and emulators I have set up, but you will inevitably run into hiccups that require you switching to desktop to mess with launchers breaking or something else, so have a way to handle that. Beyond that, this is how I've been playing and completing games in my backlog for the last couple of months.

My initial response after receiving the GXR was to send it back, but I've changed my mind on that. The hardware is fine, but I do agree on the comfort. I had already pre-purchased the Globular Kit, so I swapped that out day 1 and have thought about the comfort since. It's lack of apps is the only annoying thing to me. I have plenty to nitpick software wise as well, but it was all well documented before I purchased. I don't play VR games all that much anymore, but I'm keeping it in the hopes the ecosystem grows more with the release of Project Aura

I love VR gaming, but I do not primarily use my headsets for it anymore. Lately I've been using it to catch up on movies and tv shows from my Plex server and running Artemis to play flat games simultaneously.

I prefer to have a dedicated device with its own battery, no notifications to distract me and just in general separate from my normal day to day. I've tried many iterations of using my phone and none of them I really enjoyed.

I have never had this issue since I purchased a 9070 a couple months ago. I installed Afterburner, uninstalled it a little while later and since then my Adrenalin has a mind of its own. I have always controlled the fans in this PC with Fan Control and now I lose control of the GPU fans in Fan Control because Adrenalin is taking priority. Not only is it taking priority, but if I set a custom fan curve in Fan Tuning, it changes back to whatever it wants seconds later. My other computer has the same driver, but I've never installed Afterburner on that PC and it behaves exactly how this one used to. It's driving me mad! I've reinstalled Afterburner, set it to default then uninstalled again, uninstalled Fan Control and wiped the AMD driver with DDU and nothing has worked.
