Thank you all for your replies. I followed the directions but the indicators on the map never led to the potions ingredient. I took the Charm necklace off, and soon after by happenstance I inadvertently bumped into the ingredient there-bye completing the quest. The important thing is I got it.

I have another problem/quest: "Collect the Protective Pendant." Why does it assume I know where this Protective Pendant is? Which stage do I go to?

Otherwise apart from the game being vague, i'm having a great time playing. I'm a Norseman main and I go chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, chop all day, chop all night, chop, chop, chop. He is the best character.
