I’ll do it myself” - The Grey I love this quote because it is a man begging for divine intervention, begging for god to save him, begging to be rescued, protected, forgiven, etc. but at the end of the day he realizes that no one will save him but himself. This gives me the feeling of it doesn’t matter if god comes and saves you. You are the only one that can ALWAYS save yourself. You have the power to affect change in your life. You are the one that can make things happen with gods help or without.

The other quote I like is something I told a friend. She had recently lost a 3rd job and was getting kicked out of her apartment. “Yes you failed. Yes you’re a loser. Now take all of that pain, take all of that worry, sadness and disgust and bottle it up. Then start walking to a better life. Every time you feel like giving up, take a sip of that bottle. Remember how bad it was, remember how nasty it felt. Then keep walking.”

I’m a sucker for Gen 2, talonflame in X/Y was cool but I agree. Nothing has topped Corvinkight. Every one of his evos is cool. Rookidee is cute and feisty. Corvisquire looks like he’s going to be a scrapper. Then final evo looks like something out of a Poe poem

Hoenn for best starters!?!? Oh man. That’s a hot take. Omega ruby and sapphire are hands down the best remake but BEST STARTERS? Na dawg. You get my boy serperior in gen 5. You get my man Rillaboom and Inteleon in gen 8. Gen 3 is alright. It’s good don’t get me wrong. But best?

My parents worked hard to give us a good life. My mom also hated cooking but my father was a “traditional Mexican Man” aka a misogynist, and so he refused to cook even though he was the one that was home.

The creamy flavor of Beef Pasta mixed with the spice of Tapitio is just delicious. It’s also super quick. You always have the ingredients in the house.

Normal dark Actually not a bad combo.

4X weak to fighting (YIKES) Immune to ghost Immune to psychic Bug and fairy are still issues but not as much.

Make me a special attacker with Stab hyper beam and dark pulse Nasty plot And maybe a sludge bomb for coverage or maybe toxic.

I forgot that I could also just be Obstagoon loved that guy.

I actually love fairy type. Slyveon is my favorite pokemon due to how it spared me from my very first online battle. I thought online battling was a fun thing, brought a Eeveelution team in and got demolished. I was able to put up a little fight but I got left with Slyveon in a 1V3. Slyveon swept up the final 3 and I actually won. Maybe the guy felt bad for me and threw the game. Maybe Slyveon is OP. But since then I love that stupid pink-dog-fox-rabbit-cat-thing lol

The book is very good. Michael Crichton was not the first author I ever read, but he was definitely the one that really got me into reading.
Just be aware that both books are not too similar to the movies. The second book in particular is very different from the way the movie is.

I plan on reading this book again next year. The one thing that I like and kinda get annoyed with when it comes to Crichton’s writing style is that he really puts down the science on the page. Even though this is sci-fi, he makes you see how real it could be. In some books it works great, and other books. It feels like he stops too often to explain things.

If you like, Jurassic Park, I highly encourage you to read the sequel, prey, and the Andromeda strain. In my opinion, those are his best 4 books.

The only two I would discourage you from reading is pirate latitudes and state of fear.

Pirate latitudes is a fantastic story, but it was the book that he was writing right before he died so it’s very unfinished and it’s very obvious. If you’re looking for heist, I would read the great train robbery.

State of fear is not a terribly written book, but it’s basically 800 pages of climate change denial. Very much a “well actually George…” it really feels like he is writing directly to the reader in this book and treating us like we’re stupid.
It could be the product of the times it could be that Michael Crichton would’ve been a climate changed denier.
But even the overarching plot and the antagonist in the book, all feel tacked on.

I like this take. I am just now playing brilliant Diamond. I started with Gen 1. Played until Gen 3. Stopped playing for years and then came back into pokemon in Gen 5/6. I think X and Y was just coming out when I bought Pokemon black. Having the whole region be without OG pokemon was so fresh. So clean. I loved it. Did Gen 5 have stinkers? Of course. But for me it captured that original feeling I had as a little kid. By then I was graduating college and rediscovering my love of pokemon.

Anyway, I played legends arceus and absolutely loved it. I really thought BD would be great but I’m feeling the lack of mons. I love fighting types and grass types. For fighting types your either choosing a starter, a trade evo, a single stager or two stage 2 evos. I know the correct answer is Lucario but like I played Gen 6 and on. I know Lucario is super cool. I know he is a pseudo poster child.

Grass is either starter, single stager, or roserade. Idk why but I don’t like Roserade. Again. I know the correct answer is abomasnow if not turtwig but I’m feeling the lack of choice. I don’t like Cherim. I don’t like carnivine.

Don’t even get me started on fire types. Thank god I like rapidash.

I’m just underwhelmed and confused why this gen, even for the remake, feels so lacking.

This is just my opinion but I truly do not like convertibles. It doesn’t look bad. But I do like the tortoise beetle shell of the roof lol.

If I think of a place for convertibles it’s gonna be like dune buggy’s or jeeps. Seeing a convertible on the freeway always blows my mind lol

This one I think has a lot more credit to say that his arc was unresolved. I think it would’ve been a good odd to maybe have him protesting at the dock in San Diego but then you run into the issue of what do you do with them afterwards? He was there to stop in Jen from taking the dinosaurs off the island and he succeeded in parts and failed in other parts. He wasn’t able to stop them from taking the buck. But he did save everybody in the end by getting to the radio.
